Although the elderly are not beautiful, the adornment of morality, whoever possesses it, young or old, brings joy to all and is a supreme adornment. Other good fragrances travel with the wind but not against it, so they are one-sided. But the fragrance of the fame of morality travels in all directions. The application of sandalwood and other ointments that relieve heat is contrary to the ordained, but the application that protects against the heat of afflictions is not contrary to the ordained and is compatible. Although merely possessing the appearance of an ordained person is similar, possessing the wealth of morality is said to be superior to others. Moreover, it is said in that very text: Even without uttering a word, and without effort, one obtains the enjoyment and service needed for practice. Without intimidation, one makes all the world believe, and without effort or exertion, one obtains power. Things that should not be said happen naturally, and without doing anything beneficial or solitary, even all people who were previously unknown pay homage to the person who possesses morality. Even the dust that has become auspicious by being stepped on by the feet is taken with reverence on the crown of the head, and gods and humans, paying homage and touching their heads, carry the benefits obtained everywhere. Thus, one should contemplate. Although there are three moralities, the morality of discipline, which is the very precepts of individual liberation or the common engagement and disengagement with them, is also initially important for a Bodhisattva. Because if it is protected, the others will also be protected, and if it is not protected, the others will also not be protected. Therefore, it is said in the Compendium that if the morality of discipline of a Bodhisattva is broken, all disciplines are broken. Therefore, if one assumes that the morality of individual liberation is that of a Hearer and abandons its precepts of engagement and disengagement, saying that one must study other Bodhisattva trainings, then one has not grasped the essential point of the Bodhisattva's training in morality. Because the morality of discipline has been repeatedly said to be the basis and place of the latter two moralities. The main point of the morality of discipline is also to abandon the naturally negative actions, and among the naturally negative actions, the most important point of the greatest faults is summarized as abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions, so one should repeatedly generate a mind of restraint in which even the slightest motivation does not arise. As it is said in the Compendium of Perfections:
