Because it is the meaning of. "Made in the world" does not mean conforming to others' ideas that are not in accordance with one's own tradition, but refers to those who do not harm the knowledge of conventional terms. Because all the establishment of the meaning of the conventional truth must be established according to it, and the Madhyamaka school itself also has the measure of establishing conventional terms. Therefore, "although there is nothing" refers to the absence of self-nature. It is not permissible to say "although there is no self-nature, it exists there" and "although there is nothing, there is", because this is the way to establish the meanings of one's own conventional terms, and those who are established by self-nature do not exist even in conventional terms. In this commentary, as a proof of it, it is quoted that "I also allow what the world allows to exist and not exist", so it is impossible to have nothing. Therefore, as there are many sayings such as "Although there is nothing in the ultimate sense, it exists in the conventional sense", there is no fault in "although there is nothing, there is" becoming a different meaning. Then, from the debate, it should also be explained what is the meaning of no sect and no proposition. If you propose that "the sprout does not have the nature of being established by its own nature", you should allow the reason that "because it is dependent origination" and the metaphor of "like an image". In this way, if you want to generate (realization) in the external enemy based on the reason of having pervasiveness and homogeneity, and based on the words combined with the proposition to be proved and the analogy of realizing it, then at that time it is only hating the name of self-continuum, so what is the use of thinking about the labor of preventing self-continuum? In response to this, as you have quoted, there are also sayings that there is no proposition and sect, but it has also been said many times that acceptance must be established. How can you establish no sect by quoting only those? However, if there is a proposition of no self-nature, it will become a self-continuum, and this doubt is very true, and this seems to be a very subtle difficulty. The answer to that will be explained when establishing one's own tradition. Among them, the debate says that there is no proposition, that is, when the Madhyamaka school says that "things have no self-nature", the factualists say that the words of such a proposition...

If it is like me, then it is unreasonable for all things to be without inherent existence; if there is no inherent existence, then it is impossible to prevent inherent existence, which is derived from the debate. It is reasonable to have the actions of refutation and establishment for that which is without inherent existence, just as the root verses and commentary of the *Refutation of Debate* were previously cited. Therefore, the existence or non-existence of a commitment is not a general debate about existence or non-existence, but rather a debate about whether the words of the commitment "all things are without inherent existence" have inherent existence. If one accepts that such a committed statement has inherent existence, then we would have the fault of contradicting the commitment that "all things are without inherent existence." But because we do not think that way, we do not have that fault, that is the meaning. Therefore, it cannot be used as a proof of the absence of commitment, because the difference between non-inherent existence and non-existence is very great. If it says, "Direct perception, etc.," etc., means that, as stated in the scriptures, direct perception, etc., has no object at all. Just as the quote from the *Clear Words* was cited earlier, this is to show that in valid cognition and the knowable, there is no object and subject that are established by their own nature, but it is not to show that the valid cognition and the knowable of dependent arising do not exist. Furthermore, his thought is that if the self-character of things is established by direct perception and then refuted, that would be reasonable. However, when the Madhyamikas say that all things are empty of inherent existence, then direct perception and its measurement of objects are also included in things, so they must be empty of inherent existence. If so, since it is non-existent, it cannot refute. That is what he thought. That text is the answer from the *Refutation of Debate*. The verse says: "If, for a while, things are perceived by direct perception, and then refuted, by what are all things perceived? That direct perception is non-existent." This is the answer to that verse. In the commentary there, it also says: "If you perceive all things by direct perception and then refute, saying that all things are empty, that would be acceptable. But that is also not reasonable. Why? Because within all things, the valid cognition of direct perception is also included, so it is empty. And that which perceives things is also empty. Therefore, valid cognition has no object. If there is no object, then refutation is also unreasonable. Therefore, saying that all things are empty is not reasonable."
