If someone says, "The self that I possess, is an entity that cannot be said to be either this or that," then it must be possible to say it is either this or that. Because there is no room for such an examination, it is sufficient to answer, "That's enough." If someone says, "A person is an existing entity, but is neither the same as nor different from the aggregates, therefore it is unreasonable to say it is these, so this examination is applicable," then, if nothing is admitted, saying "There is no admission" is equally not to be said lightly. If someone says, "I have no property," then say, "Give me that property of having no property!" If someone says, "I have no commitment," then saying, "That very thing of having no commitment, I commit to," these two are also the same. If that is said, it is because the previous meaning has not been understood. Like this, we do not say, "That very thing of having no commitment, I commit to." Then, what would be said? Saying "There is no commitment" shows that one must admit to having no commitment, therefore, one cannot avoid the contradiction of one's own words. If what you say is not the view of the Madhyamaka school, then quoting the scriptures of the noble father and sons etc. to prove it is contradictory, and it cannot be established in the view of Chandrakirti and Aryadeva, nor is it acceptable in the view of other Buddhists, therefore it will become an outsider to the Dharma. If it is said to be the Madhyamaka school, and within that, the view of Chandrakirti, then it is contradictory that they have no own system. Similarly, if hoping to be liberated from commitment, one says that all phenomena are established only in relation to others, that is also unreasonable. Because it is necessary to admit that form etc. exists, and that it exists only in relation to others. Regarding the statement that "Form etc. exists, even if one does not admit it oneself, it is very necessary to admit it in the presence of others," there is no liberation from commitment. Because at that time, it is necessary to admit that "other" in whose presence it is established, and the establisher himself etc., so saying that it is admitted only in relation to others, not only does it not help those without an own system, but it is also harmful. If it is said, "There is no own system, and it is admitted only in relation to others," I did not say that, but it appears in your presence. If one denies the direct perception that even the Lokayata cannot deny, then it is that you yourself do not perceive what you say, and what we hear etc., you think

That is truly wonderful! If that is the case, what is the need for definitive words such as non-acceptance? No matter what is said, it is ultimately permissible to deny it, because there is no fault. If it is said that the consequentialist approach is only established in front of others, and not accepted in one's own system, then what is the use of having faith in the system of Chandrakirti, who established the tenets of the consequentialist school by refuting the system of autonomy? Just as autonomy does not work in one's own system, neither does the consequentialist approach; and just as the consequentialist approach works in front of others, autonomy must also be done in front of others. Just as someone who only accepts mind-only in front of others, but does not accept it in their own system, cannot be considered a mind-only practitioner, the consequentialist approach, which establishes the meaning of the Middle Way through consequences, does not work in one's own system, and merely establishing it in front of others means that one cannot be considered a consequentialist, nor an autonomist. Therefore, this clearly shows that "we are not Madhyamikas." The meaning of "For the sake of the result, these are said to exist even though they do not, I speak in front of the world" cannot be used as the basis for all establishments being done in front of others, because the absence of inherent existence of phenomena, which are established by their own entity, is established in front of the wisdom of reason that properly examines the existence or non-existence of inherent existence, and not in front of the self-satisfied consciousness of convention. Because if that could establish the absence of inherent existence, then reason would become meaningless. Moreover, the text itself says, "It is said to exist, in front of the world." Therefore, the text says that establishing forms and so on as existent is established in front of worldly people. The statement "not accepting the conventional" means that it is not accepted in the way that the mind-only school accepts other-powered existence, and not that the conventional truth is not accepted in one's own system, because the text says, "Just as you consider other-powered existence to be real." Moreover, in the connection of that text, it also says, "If you refute other-powered existence with reason or logic, then I will also refute your conventional truth with your own reason." This is a response to this debate, meaning that just as you consider other-powered existence to be a real entity that can be analyzed by reason, we do not consider the conventional to be like that, so whether or not it can be refuted by reason is not the same.
