The key to attaining the two bodies lies in not misunderstanding the fundamental view, and the way to establish the view is to gain certainty about the two truths just explained. This is something that no one other than the Madhyamikas can do, as they see contradictions and cannot explain them as non-contradictory. Therefore, the Madhyamika scholars, who possess subtle, intelligent, and extremely vast wisdom, are skilled in the method of understanding the two truths, and thus establish them without any contradiction, attaining the ultimate intention of the Buddha. Relying on this, they generate extraordinary respect for their teacher and teachings, which leads to pure words and expressions. O wise ones! The meaning of emptiness, which is emptiness of inherent existence, is the meaning of dependent origination, and not the meaning of the non-existence of things that are empty of the ability to function. Thus, they proclaim loudly and repeatedly. Even the scholars of their own school, who assert the existence of things and are highly learned in various fields of knowledge, do not accept the Madhyamika view, and their argument with the Madhyamikas is: If all phenomena are empty, without any inherent existence, then there is no basis for establishing all the categories of samsara and nirvana, such as liberation. As it is said in the Root Verses: If all these are empty, there is no arising and no ceasing. The four noble truths will not exist for you. This means that if there is emptiness of inherent existence, then arising, ceasing, and the four truths are not reasonable. And as it is said in the Refutation of Objections: If the inherent existence of all things does not exist in all places, then your words also have no inherent existence, and you cannot refute inherent existence. This means that if there is no inherent existence, then the producer and the produced, and the agent and the object of refutation and establishment are not reasonable, and they argue in this way. This is because they argue that the reasoning that negates inherent existence negates all actions. Therefore, when those who assert the existence of things and the Madhyamikas argue about their uncommon tenets, the only thing they argue about is whether or not all the categories of samsara and nirvana can be established on emptiness of inherent existence. Because it is inherently established

It is a characteristic of the Madhyamaka school to accept all the establishments of samsara and nirvana, such as the produced and the producer, cessation and accomplishment, etc., even when there is not even a particle of inherent existence. As it is said in the twenty-fourth chapter of the Root Wisdom: "The inference that becomes a fault is that it is not reasonable for emptiness. You abandon emptiness, which is not reasonable for me. For whom emptiness is reasonable, for him everything is reasonable. For whom emptiness is not reasonable, for him everything is not reasonable." Thus, if all these are empty, etc., the fault does not occur to those who speak of no inherent existence. Moreover, for the side of emptiness of inherent existence, arising and ceasing, etc., are reasonable, while for the side of non-emptiness of inherent existence, it is not reasonable, as it is said. Likewise, in the Clear Words, it is said: "For our side, not only does the fault of what has been said not apply, but also, in order to show that all establishments, such as truth, etc., are very reasonable," the scripture "For whom emptiness is reasonable," etc., is stated and explained. In the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way, the twenty-sixth chapter shows the order of arising of the twelve links of dependent origination and the order of cessation of the reverse order, while the twenty-fifth chapter mainly refutes inherent existence. The twenty-fourth chapter examines the noble truths. For those who are not empty of inherent existence, the manner in which all establishments of samsara and nirvana, such as arising and ceasing, etc., are not reasonable, and for those who are empty of inherent existence, the manner in which all of them are reasonable, are extensively determined. Therefore, this chapter must be understood and applied to all other chapters. Therefore, those who now wish to speak of the meaning of the Middle Way, saying that for those who have no inherent existence, the cause and effect of the produced and the producer, etc., are not reasonable, is the way of speaking of entities. The view of the Lord Nagarjuna is that, based on this cause and this condition, the establishment of cause and effect of the arising and ceasing of this result and this result itself, one must seek emptiness of inherent existence and the Middle Way. As it is said in the twenty-fourth chapter: "Whatever is dependent arising, that is said to be emptiness. That is dependently designated, that itself is the Middle Way. Because there is no phenomenon that is not dependently originated."

Therefore, there are no phenomena that are not empty. It is said that dependent arising is pervaded by emptiness of inherent existence. Do not reverse it and say that arising from causes and conditions is pervaded by establishment of inherent existence. Similarly, in the "Refutation of Objections": Whoever has emptiness, has all things. Whoever does not have emptiness, has nothing at all. Emptiness, dependent arising, and the Middle Way, for these three, the meaning is the same. I prostrate to the Buddha who proclaimed these incomparable words. Also, in the "Seventy Stanzas on Emptiness": All things are empty of inherent existence, because of the dependent arising of phenomena, the Tathagata taught in an incomparable way. Also, in the "Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning": Those who cling to a self or world that is not dependent, alas, are robbed by views such as permanence and impermanence. Those who wish to establish phenomena as dependent, also have faults such as permanence. How can these not change? Those who wish for dependent phenomena, like the moon in water, neither true nor false, these are not robbed by views. Also, in the "Praise Beyond the World": Suffering is done by oneself, or done by others, or done by both, nihilists think so, you say it is dependent arising. Whatever arises from dependent arising, you consider it to be emptiness, things have no autonomy, your incomparable lion's roar. Thus, because of dependent arising, only emptiness of inherent existence is proclaimed. The meaning of dependent arising appears as the meaning of emptiness without inherent existence. This is the uncommon tenet of Lord Nagarjuna. Therefore, from the aspect of emptiness of inherent existence, and the establishment of dependent arising, cause and effect, is difficult to establish in one's own tenet, and is pushed to other tenets, etc., this is not the meaning of dependent arising. Whoever can establish emptiness, for him, it is said, whatever tenet is emptiness of inherent existence, that tenet can establish all samsara and nirvana of dependent arising. Then, for the side that wants emptiness, the wheel
