Also, similarly, when subtle consciousness flows, all death consciousnesses are unstated. In the explanation of the Abhidharmakosha, it is said that good and non-good consciousnesses are clear, which is inconsistent with the explanation of death consciousness. Third, from where is warmth collected? Those who do evil deeds, the consciousness abandons the body from the upper part, first the upper part becomes cold, until it reaches the heart; those who do good deeds, abandon and become cold from the lower part, both transfer consciousness from the heart. Initially, the consciousness enters the center of semen and blood, which becomes the heart of the body, and finally from which direction it transfers, it enters from that direction first. Thus, the warmth of the body is initially collected from the upper part to the heart, or from the lower part to the heart, and then collected from the lower part or the upper part to there, although it is not said, it should be known. Fourth, the way the bardo is achieved after death is that, as mentioned earlier, from the direction the consciousness is transferred, uninterruptedly like the height of a scale, death and the bardo are achieved, the reason is the arising of attachment to the body, and being completely accustomed to liking previous distractions, and good and non-good karma, relying on these two. That bardo also has all the senses such as eyes, has the shape of the body of the place where it will be born, before taking birth, the eyes are unobstructed like divine eyes, and the body is also unobstructed like having magical powers. In the Abhidharmakosha it is also said: "The previous state has birth and form, this is the moment before death, and after the moment of birth, seen by the pure divine eye of the same kind, possessed by the power of karma's magic, all senses are complete and unobstructed, the irreversible one is a Gandharva." It means that the bardo is seen by the same kind and the pure divine eye arising from meditation, if the bardo of any being of any path is achieved, then it is said that from then on it cannot be reversed to other births, but in the Compendium it is also said that it can be reversed. The previous state is said to be the four states of existence, the intermediate state is after death and before taking birth, the first moment of taking birth is the birth state, from the second moment to the last moment of the death state is the previous state, the moment of death

The Abhidharmakośa states that the last is the dying state. Therefore, only at the time of taking birth is it prior in relation to the dying state. If there is confusion about this, thinking that there is a body shape of the previous life, or saying that there is a body shape of the future life, even thinking that the first four and a half days are the body shape of the previous life and the last four and a half days are the body shape of the future life, these are all fabrications without any reliable basis. The Yogācāra texts state that because there is no abiding of consciousness, there will be no attachment to the previous body. Therefore, thinking that seeing the previous body will cause displeasure is also a fabrication. The intermediate state of those who do evil is like a black cloak or a dark night. The intermediate state of those who do good is like white linen or a night with moonlight. One's own intermediate state and that of one's own kind, as well as their and one's own place of birth, can also be seen. Regarding entering the womb, the intermediate state of hell beings is like a burning stump, the intermediate state of animals is like smoke, the intermediate state of hungry ghosts is like water, the intermediate state of desire realm gods and humans is like gold, and the intermediate state of form realm beings is said to be white, which is the difference in color. If one is born from the formless realm to the lower two realms (desire realm, form realm), there is an intermediate state. If one is born from the lower two realms to the formless realm, wherever one dies, there the aggregates of the formless realm are formed, and there is no intermediate state. Because the scriptures have not mentioned any exceptions to this lack of an intermediate state, it is unreasonable to think that there is no intermediate state in the uninterrupted (referring to directly being born from one level of meditation to another) between the upper and lower realms. The intermediate state of gods is upward. The intermediate state of humans is walking directly. The intermediate state of those who do evil is said to be with eyes downward, walking hunched over, which seems to refer to the three lower realms. In the Abhidharmakośa commentary, it is said that humans, hungry ghosts, and animals walk according to their own appearance. The length of life is that if the conditions for rebirth are not found, even if it occasionally stops, it can only stay for seven days. If the conditions are found, then there is no certainty. If it is not found, even if the body is changed, it can only stay for seven days to seven times seven, forty-nine days. Because by then the conditions for rebirth will definitely be found, it will not stay after that. Because no scripture has ever said that it is longer than this, it is unreasonable to think that the duration of stay is longer than this. God
