Furthermore, just as the pain intensifies due to torment, like a wound maturing and breaking open, one abandons previous memories as if vomiting. This is what is said. The meaning of these words is: From the moment of entering the womb, and then all limbs and parts are fully grown, to the point where the place of urine is rotten, falling, standing, loathsome, foul-smelling, dark, extremely frightening to see, soaked in excrement and urine, with unpleasant odors, blood, and pus, the gate of a constantly flowing wound. Due to the wind born from the ripening of previous karma, the feet are pointed upwards, the head is pointed downwards, and the two hands are curled up, tormented by the two wheels of bones, constantly tormented, completely tormented. Great feelings of suffering, intense, rough, unbearable, and displeasing, cause all the limbs of the body, like fresh wounds, all covered with pus, to turn blue, and all the senses of the body become numb. The filth of the womb is extremely dirty, covering the body. Thirst dries the lips, throat, and heart. Being in a state of fear and dread, unbearable, due to the power of causes and conditions, driven by the wind born from the ripening of previous karma, it is like a difficulty, how will it come out? As soon as it comes out, the external wind is like a strong ointment touching a wound, or touching it with a hand or clothing, as if cut by a sword, one will experience great, intense, rough, unbearable, and displeasing feelings of suffering. It is said. Just as when a cowhide is skinned and eaten by other animals, or when a leper's body is festering and whipped, one experiences intense suffering. When a newborn is held in one's arms, etc., or when touched by heat and cold, one also experiences intense, rough, unbearable, and displeasing suffering. It is said. Among the eight sufferings, one must especially emphasize the first and the last to practice. Therefore, one should practice by repeatedly contemplating with the wisdom of individual observation, as previously explained. There are five aspects to contemplating the suffering of old age, among which the complete loss of good looks is: the waist bends like a bow, the hair turns white like starry flowers, the forehead is covered with wrinkles like a sewn cushion, etc., youth declines and becomes ugly.

Complete decline refers to: sitting like a broken rope of a sack on the ground, standing like tree roots pointing to the sky, speaking unclearly, walking unsteadily, and so on. Complete decline of the senses refers to: the eyes and other senses not being able to see objects clearly, and the weakening of memory and other faculties due to forgetfulness and so on. Complete decline in the enjoyment of objects refers to: food and drink being difficult to digest, and the inability to enjoy other desirable qualities. The suffering of complete decline of life refers to: life being mostly exhausted, quickly approaching death, and repeatedly thinking about these things. It is also said in the Extensive Play Sutra: "When aging makes one old, and the prime of life is past, it is like a tree struck by lightning. When aging makes one crooked, it is like a dilapidated and dangerous house. Quickly speak of the means to overcome aging. The assemblies of women and men are all withered by aging, like a red wind blowing through a sal tree forest. Aging steals diligence, ability, and strength, like a strong man sinking into mud. Aging makes beauty ugly, aging steals splendor and power. Aging steals happiness and brings humiliation. Aging brings death, aging also steals radiance." So it is said. Sichen Trulku said: The suffering of death is intense but short, aging is the most intense. Karma Pakshi said: It is better for aging to come little by little, if it comes all at once it is unbearable. There are also five ways of contemplating the suffering of illness: The change in the nature of the body refers to: the body's muscles wasting away, the skin drying out, and so on. The increase of suffering and displeasure, and being mostly in that state refers to: the elements of the body, such as water, being unbalanced, with large and small imbalances, thereby creating pain in the body, which in turn brings displeasure to the mind, and one must endure day and night. The enjoyment of pleasant objects becoming unpleasant refers to: for pleasant objects, because it is said to be harmful to illness, one cannot enjoy them as one wishes, and similarly, one's behavior cannot be as one pleases. The enjoyment of unpleasant objects having to be enjoyed unwillingly refers to: for unpleasant things such as medicine and food, one must forcibly enjoy them, and similarly, burning with fire and with a knife.
