如是，以前享受天界的欲望所产生的快乐，在死亡转移的时候，看到五种死亡预兆，由此产生的痛苦非常巨大。五种死亡预兆是：如其所说，身体的颜色变得难看，不喜欢自己的座位，花环凋谢，衣服上沾染污垢，身体上出现以前没有的汗水，这被称为五种预示天界死亡转移的预兆。居住在天界的天人们会出现这些预兆，如同预示地上人们将要死亡的预兆一样。如是说。堕落到下界的痛苦是：从天界转移之后，如果没有任何善行的剩余，那么就会不由自主地变成旁生、饿鬼，或者堕入任何一个地狱。如是说。嫉妒是：拥有巨大福德的天人们会享受到极其卓越的欲望功德，当那些福德较小的天子们看到时，就会产生嫉妒，并由此体验到巨大的痛苦和不悦。断截、割裂和杀害的痛苦是：当天人们与非天战斗时，会体验到肢体断裂、身体割裂和被杀害的痛苦。如果头被砍掉就会死亡，而剩余的肢体被砍断和割裂后，会再次生长并存活。驱逐是：当天界中最有力量的天人们发生冲突时，会将那些力量较小的天子们从自己的住所驱逐出去。此外，《集经》中说：享受欲望的天人，也没有快乐的心，因为欲望的贪着层层叠加，内心的火焰将其焚烧。如果心散乱，哪里会有快乐？因为即使一瞬间也无法控制不散乱的心，所以具有散乱烦恼的自性，永远不会平静，如同风助火势蔓延，火与木柴同在。又说：如同疾病尚未痊愈的病人吃了不适宜的食物。如是说。更高的色界和无色界的天人们没有这些痛苦，但是他们仍然具有烦恼和障碍，并且对于死亡转移和居住没有自主权。

Thus, the happiness arising from enjoying the desires of the gods in the past, at the time of death and transference, when the five signs of death are seen, the suffering arising from that is extremely great. The five signs of death are: As it is said, the color of the body becomes unsightly, one dislikes one's seat, the flower garlands wither, the clothes become stained, and sweat appears on the body that was never there before. These are called the five signs of death that herald the transference of death in the heavenly realms. These signs appear to the gods residing in the heavenly realms, just like the signs that herald the death of people on earth. So it is said. The suffering of falling to a lower realm is: After transferring from the world of the gods, if there is no remainder of virtue, then one will involuntarily become an animal, a hungry ghost, or fall into any of the hells. So it is said. Jealousy is: The gods who possess great merit will experience extremely excellent qualities of desire, and when those gods with lesser merit see this, they become jealous and experience great suffering and displeasure from that basis. The suffering of cutting, tearing, and killing is: When the gods fight with the Asuras, they experience the suffering of limbs being severed, bodies being torn apart, and being killed. If the head is cut off, one dies, but the remaining limbs that are cut and torn apart grow back and live. Expulsion is: When the most powerful gods in the heavenly realms clash, they expel the lesser powerful gods from their abodes. Furthermore, it is said in the 'Compendium Sutra': 'The gods who enjoy desires do not have a happy mind, because the attachment to desires is layered upon layer, and the inner fire burns them. If the mind is distracted, where is there happiness? Because even for a moment, one cannot control the undistracted mind, so having the nature of distracted afflictions, one will never be peaceful, like a fire spreading with the help of wind, the fire is with the wood.' It is also said: 'Like a patient whose illness has not been cured for a long time eating unsuitable food.' So it is said. The gods of the higher form and formless realms do not have these sufferings, but they still possess afflictions and obscurations, and they have no autonomy over death, transference, and dwelling.
