Oh! False speech is heavier than the basis. The weight of false speech, such as lying, is the same as before. False speech based on fighting, exposing faults, arguing, and gambling, as well as reading non-Buddhist scriptures with attachment, and deceiving, mocking, verbally attacking, and speaking unkindly to parents, relatives, and teachers, etc. Greed is heavier than the basis, which is desiring the wealth of the Sangha and stupas, and wanting to gain the benefits of knowledge and respect from kings and others who practice like Brahma due to pride in one's merits. Harmful intent is heavier than the basis, which is generating hatred towards parents, relatives, teachers, innocent people, the poor, the suffering, the pitiable, and those who sincerely confess their wrongdoings. Wrong view is heavier than the basis, which is starting to slander all bases, which is heavier than other wrong views. Also, holding the view that there are no Arhats, those who have gone rightly, and those who have entered rightly in the world is also a wrong view. The opposite of this should be known as lighter. Regarding the six situations that are heavier than the earth's substance: Manifest action is, initiating all actions with the strong force of the three poisons or without these three poisons. Habituation is, both good and bad actions have been practiced for a long time and done many times. Nature is, among the seven branches of body and speech, the latter is heavier than the former, and among the three branches of mind, the latter is heavier than the former. Basis is, doing good or harm to the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, teacher, etc. Definitely being on one side of the unfavorable means, deciding to only create unwholesome actions for the rest of one's life, and not doing wholesome actions even once. Eliminating the unfavorable side means, abandoning the unwholesome side, being free from desire, and engaging in wholesome actions. The Letter to a Friend also says: "Constant, extremely attached, and without an antidote, actions arising from a basis possessing qualities as the main thing, both good and non-good, are all great, therefore, one should diligently cultivate all virtuous actions." That's what it says. That is, it is divided into a basis possessing qualities, such as the Three Jewels, and a basis that can bring benefits, such as parents, divided into two, so there are five. Second, incidentally showing.
