It should be written down. If these are practiced as a daily routine, because the mind will become accustomed to them, although it is difficult to train the mind at first, later it will naturally enter into it, and the thought of attaining such a state of mindfulness of the Buddha will arise, thinking, "May I also attain such a state of mindfulness of the Buddha." Day and night, one will be able to see the Buddha, and at the time of death, no matter what suffering arises, one will not lose mindfulness of the Buddha. As it is said in the Samadhiraja Sutra: I will instruct you and make you understand. Just as people often engage in conceptualization, those conceptualizations that abide in it, similarly, will cause the mind to focus on it. Similarly, remember the form of the Victorious One, and the immeasurable wisdom of the Sage. If one constantly cultivates mindfulness, the mind will be completely inclined towards it. When walking, sitting, standing, and abiding, one will desire the wisdom of the holy being. Desiring to become the supreme Victorious One of the world, one will also make aspirations for enlightenment. Thus it is said. With great joy in body, speech, and mind, constantly praise the Buddhas. In this way, by cultivating the mind-stream, one will be able to see the Protector of the world day and night. When he becomes sick and uncomfortable, and experiences the suffering of approaching death, the mindfulness of the Buddha will not disappear, and will not be taken away by the feeling of suffering. Thus it is said. Potowa said: If you think again and again, the mind will become bigger and bigger, and the continuum will become more and more pure, and blessings will arise. Having gained certainty about this, take refuge from the bottom of your heart, and just by learning his teachings, everything you do will become a Buddhist practice. We don't even consider the Buddha's wisdom to be as sharp as the sharpest diviner. That is to say, one of the most skilled diviners says, "This year you have no calamities, I know, you will pass through smoothly." If he says, "This year there are calamities, you should do this, don't do that," then you will strive to do it. If you can't do it, you will think, "I didn't do what he said," and feel uncomfortable. The Buddha said, "This and this should be abandoned." And, "This and this should be practiced." Do you trust these precepts? If you can't do it, will you feel uncomfortable? The Dharma also says so.

Now, because the time and place are not suitable, saying "This cannot be done, it must be done that way" is like hastily abandoning the Buddha's teachings and quickly turning to one's own consciousness. If you do not examine it, and are only confused by pleasant words, if you repeatedly think about it in your heart and examine it carefully, you will find it very empty. Therefore, you should repeatedly contemplate the virtues of the Buddha and strive to generate definite understanding from the depths of your heart. If definite understanding arises, then the same definite understanding will arise for the Dharma from which the Buddha arose, and for the Sangha who practice this Dharma, so taking refuge will become the key point. If there is no definite understanding, then other paths need not be mentioned, and even taking refuge will be impossible. The virtues of the Dharma are: taking respect for the Buddha as the cause, thinking that the Buddha has immeasurable virtues, these virtues arise from understanding the scriptures and realizing the Dharma, abandoning the faults of cessation and the path, and attaining and practicing virtues. One should remember this way. In the *Dharma Collection Sutra*, it says: The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, have immeasurable and boundless virtues, they are born from the Dharma, enjoy the share of the Dharma, are transformed by the Dharma, take the Dharma as the master, are born from the Dharma, take the Dharma as the field of practice, rely on the Dharma, and are accomplished by the Dharma. The virtues of the Sangha mainly refer to the noble ones. One should also remember the virtues of the Dharma and remember them through proper practice. In the *Dharma Collection Sutra*, it says: The Sangha are those who speak the Dharma, practice the Dharma, think about the Dharma, the field of the Dharma, the holders of the Dharma, those who rely on the Dharma, those who offer to the Dharma, those who do the work of the Dharma, those who take the Dharma as the field of practice, those who are perfect in the practice of the Dharma, those who are naturally upright, those who are naturally pure, those who have the Dharma of compassion, those who have compassion, those who are constantly in a solitary field of practice, those who are constantly focused on the Dharma, and those who constantly practice white deeds. And so on. It is said. Taking refuge by knowing the differences, as stated in the *Compendium*, is to take refuge by knowing the differences between the Three Jewels. Among these six, the difference distinguished by characteristics is: the characteristic of the Buddha Jewel is the manifestation of perfect enlightenment, while the Dharma Jewel
