However, one should not be complacent about this. As stated in the Ratnavali, "The causes of death are many, while the causes of life are few. These causes are also conducive to death, therefore, always accumulate Dharma." Since the body is extremely fragile, one should contemplate that death is uncertain. Since the body is as fragile as a water bubble, it does not require great harm; even harm like a thorn prick can become a cause of death. Therefore, all causes of death can easily destroy the body. In the Suhrllekha it says, "Even these bodies of beings burned by the earth, Mount Sumeru, the ocean, and seven suns will not remain as ashes, what need is there to mention extremely fragile humans?" After contemplating in this way, since it is impossible to foresee when the Lord of Death will destroy the body and life, one should not waste time, but resolve to practice Dharma right now, and make many vows. In the Kanikalekha it says, "The Lord of Death is not familiar with anyone, and will suddenly descend, do not say 'I will do it tomorrow,' but hasten to practice the excellent Dharma. 'Today I will do this, tomorrow I will do that,' is not good for people. That tomorrow when you will disappear will surely come uninvited." The Lord of Yoga, Śrī Jagatamitra Ānanda, also said, "Like the body borrowed by the lord of the earth, being without illness or decline, and abiding in happiness, in that very life, take the essence, and make yourself fearless of old age, sickness, and decline. When old age and decline come, even if you remember, what can you do at that time?" Just as they said. Among the three roots, the most important is to contemplate that death is uncertain, thereby transforming the mind, therefore one should strive. Third, the three ways of thinking that at the time of death, nothing other than the Dharma will be of any help are: In this way, when it is seen that one must go to the next world, at that time, no matter how dear relatives or friends are, and no matter how sorrowfully they surround you, not one of them can take you away. No matter how much pleasing wealth there is, not even a speck of dust can be taken away. Even the flesh and bones born together must be abandoned, what need is there to mention other things? Therefore, all the perfections of this life will abandon me, and I will surely abandon these and go to another world. Moreover, thinking that it will come today
