Therefore, the laws of reality are established as the basis of reasoning. This is specifically stated with regard to the laws of reality. Some of the proofs established by Master Lekden are actually unerringly evident, while others are considered to be unerringly evident in the ultimate proof. However, this master refutes this. As mentioned earlier, if one is a Madhyamika, since one does not accept other tenets, in order to prove that one should not accept the meaning established by self-nature, one quotes "if perception, etc.," and states that there is no valid cognition to measure self-nature. This is in order to refute the position of Master Lekden. Secondly, the way in which it does not contradict oneself: If the faults pointed out in the inference of others, such as the subject and the sign not being established, also become faults in one's own inference, then should one not refute others? If one thinks so, the reason why those faults arise in others is because they accept the self-continuum inference. But we do not accept the self-continuum inference, so there are no such faults. Here, inference refers to the formulation. If one accepts the self-continuum, then one must accept the valid cognition that has become a measure of self-nature as the common appearance recognized by both opponents, and the three aspects established by it are established in both, so the proposition must be established. If that is the case, since there is no such valid cognition, the subject and so on will not be established. If one does not accept the self-continuum, then it is sufficient for the other party, who speaks of reality, to be established by such a valid cognition. One does not need to be established by that valid cognition. Therefore, the inferences that appear in the scriptures are also inferences known to others, which are only necessary to refute the promises of others, and are not self-continuum. This is like what is said in the third chapter of the Root Wisdom: "He who sees his own nature, does not see that nature. If one does not look at oneself, how can one look at others?" It is like using not looking at oneself as a sign to prove that the eye does not look at other things. This is because the sign itself is also accepted, and the Madhyamikas also believe that the nature of promising to look at other things is not established. Therefore, such formulations are called inferences known to others.

In the Clear Words, it says: We do not use autonomous inferences, because these inferences only have the effect of refuting the tenets of others. Therefore, establishing arguments is not because they are considered not autonomous and only have the necessity of refuting the tenets of others. The way to eliminate their tenets after establishing arguments is, as stated at the end of that treatise: "Like this, the eye sees others." This idea also admits that the eye does not see its own self-nature, and also admits that it would not arise without the nature of seeing others. Therefore, for anything that does not see its own self-nature, there is also no nature of seeing others, such as a vase. The eye also does not see its own self-nature, therefore, it also does not have the nature of seeing others. Therefore, seeing blue and other things that contradict not seeing one's own self-nature contradicts the inference known to oneself. Therefore, it is eliminated by the inference established on that. It is said that what is known to the external debater himself and what is considered known to others in relation to the previous Madhyamika are the same point. The way to establish an argument known to others and thereby dispel wrong discriminations is very important, so it is explained in detail below: The "established" in it refers to the eye as the subject (dharma), the vase as the example, not seeing oneself as the reason, and not seeing oneself as the property to be established, such as blue, which are not admitted in one's own system. It is only admitted by others, so it is meaningless to say that the reason and pervasion are established only in the other party. So, how should it be understood? Although these are also admitted in one's own system, the valid cognition that establishes these, measuring the object to be measured that is established by its own nature, does not even have a name in one's own system. For those who say that self-nature exists, the establishment of these must depend on the establishment of that valid cognition, because in the view of both, there is no measuring valid cognition established by its own nature that is established in common appearance. Therefore, for both, it is not established, or it is said to be known to others, or established to others. Then, since there is no such valid cognition even in name, the idea that it is used to establish is like a false imputation, and it will be harmed by reasoning. Then, relying on these proofs, how can one obtain the Madhyamika view?
