I am. According to which way? One should analyze that which is the arising of self-nature and the very act of causing to arise. According to which way? Things are produced by mistaken imputation, and in the manner of illusion, it is the nature of being unborn, and although without self-nature, it becomes an object of discrimination, like hairs seen by someone with cataracts, that is inconceivable. Therefore, I do not have the occasion for the fault as stated before. Mundane things that are established without examination also exist, so everything is accomplished. Thus, in order to attribute faults to others, one establishes one's own tenet as a commitment; in order to show that one does not have that fault, one speaks of the view as being like an illusion. Having understood that, one should know how to establish the Madhyamaka system as being free from faults. In general, from definitive scriptures and Madhyamaka treatises, it is said infinitely that "this is like this, this is not like this, this and this do not exist, this and this exist." Why is it necessary to establish that those are the views of those authors by quoting special citations? If it is not like that, in the context of those texts that do not say "they think like this, they commit like this," when explaining those meanings, one would not be able to distinguish "this is the author's system or view, this is not like that." If it is necessary to have special words such as "think," "commit," and "vow," then many are said, such as in the *Refutation of Disputes*: "Without committing to conventions, we do not explain." And in the *Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning*: "When things arise and perish, how is the imputation of negation established? Likewise, the noble ones also consider the negation as being like an illusion." And "Those who rely on things, like the moon in water, neither truly nor falsely, their view is not stolen." And in the *Praise Transcending the World*: "Those who are born from causes, without that, they do not exist, why do they not clearly acknowledge that they are the same as an image?" And "Without the object of sensation, that does not exist, the nature of sensation itself is selfless, that sensation is also self-
