Even if it is determined to be established through valid cognition, deception is possible. Therefore, since neither has a reason established through valid cognition, it ultimately comes down to admitting it as valid cognition. So even if it is not established through valid cognition, it is acceptable to refute through admission. This is how it is explained. Furthermore, in the same work, it is also mentioned that regarding the aspect of the svatantrika's reason, if the reason and the proposition to be established are established as pervasive in terms of valid cognition, then the svatantrika would become an establisher. However, pervasion is not established. For example, the valid cognition that proves pervasion is either direct perception or inference. First, direct perception cannot establish pervasion. For example, in a crowd, through direct perception and non-apprehension, it can be understood that for fire and smoke, if this exists, then that exists, and if this does not exist, then that does not exist, thus understanding that without this, it does not arise, but it is not the case that it can be understood in all places. Inference is also not possible, because it also has a definite location. For example, the location of inference is not all, because only in the place where the sign related to the proposition to be established exists, will the knowledge of impermanence, etc., arise, but not in all places and times. Therefore, pervasion is established only through worldly admission, and not through valid cognition. So how can the prasangika's reason not refute the opponent's view? That is to say, if the existence of fire where there is smoke, and the pervasion of conditioned phenomena by impermanence, are established through valid cognition, then the svatantrika can be established, but this is not established. If it is established through valid cognition, then it must be established that smoke and conditioned phenomena in all times and places are pervaded by fire and impermanence. However, the direct perception and inference that prove pervasion can only be established in crowds and on vases, so it is one-sided. Therefore, it is said that pervasion must also be established through admission. This seems to imply that if the three aspects are argued with a sign established through valid cognition, then it is svatantrika, and if it is argued only through the ultimate of admitted three aspects, then it seems to be prasangika. The translator disciples of that pandita also said this: The Madhyamikas have no commitment of their own other than refuting the views of others, and since there is no commonly accepted subject, etc., for both, the svatantrika is unreasonable. Discriminating through reason

Its result is only abandoning the tenets of others, and there is no self-assertion other than that. Therefore, one should not state self-sufficient reasoning in any way. Therefore, it is only consequentialism. And even in that, the consequentialism of proof is only the fault of refutation because it is the ultimate of self-sufficiency. This is also not a valid measure because it is the fault of admitting both the sign and the pervasion, or the ultimate of what is admitted. Relying on this to cut off the commitments or elaborations of others is done in four ways. Among them, the consequentialism of stating contradictions is: if the other party thinks that birth is meaningful and has a purpose, and one also wants to be born, then if it arises from oneself, because an existing thing arises, birth will become meaningless and without purpose, so it is unreasonable to think that it is meaningful and has a purpose. If one thinks so, then it is unreasonable to want to be born from oneself. By stating contradictions in this way, the other party, knowing this, only has the result of abandoning their tenets. The inference of other fame is: the sprout that is thought to arise from itself does not arise from itself, because it exists in its own nature. By stating other famous dharmas and signs in this way, one prevents the other party. Even if one says "it does not arise from itself," it only prevents the self-birth of others, and one does not establish that it does not arise from itself, so there is no commitment. The proof being the same as what is to be proven is: whatever example the other party cites to establish their own position will become unestablished in the same way as before. The balance of reasons being the same is: if one admits this, one admits this, thus balancing in a way that the reasons are not different. So, do you want to prevent the other party's commitment or not? If you do, then that itself is a commitment, so there will be a self-sufficient sign to establish that. If you do not, then it is unreasonable to state the reason for preventing the commitment of others. If you want to desire the establishment of no self-nature or no birth when examining ultimate truth, then you must want the self-sufficient commitment and sign, but because you do not want that, there is no fault. If there is a commitment merely because there is a desire, then there will be a commitment at all times, thus explaining. This only prevents the position of others, even though one has no reason to establish one's own position.
