The conducive conditions for accumulating merit and wisdom are pure worldly wisdom, which is conditioned. Here, if it is regarded as a special characteristic of the vow, there is no fault. As it is said, it should be understood that up to the wisdom of hearing, thinking, and properly examining reality, it is acceptable, but it should not be understood only as the subsequent attainment of the noble ones. In the "Madhyamaka-aloka," it is also said, 'Whatever is said, such as ultimately there is no birth, its meaning should also be understood as such, because all the wisdom arising from correct hearing, thinking, and meditation is a non-erroneous object, therefore it is called ultimate, because this is ultimate.' The difference made by direct perception and inference exists, because relying on them, it is known that all these things are unborn. Therefore, saying 'ultimately there is no birth' means that these things are not proven to be born by correct wisdom.' This seems to be in accordance with the above view. In the "Difficult Commentary on the Ornament of Madhyamaka," it is also said, 'Then, how is it that there is no self-nature?' Therefore, the word 'as it is' is used, the word 'as it is' refers to the nature of reality that is realized by inference arising from the power of things themselves, if analyzed by reality, it is a synonym for emptiness. This explains the words 'reality' and 'ultimate,' etc. Or, only correct wisdom can be called 'as it is,' etc., because it is the object of these words. Through the thought of correct wisdom, it can be understood that there is no self-nature, but not through conventional wisdom.' As it is said. Applying the distinctions of 'as it is,' etc., to the absence of self-nature is also discussed extensively in the "Lamp of Wisdom" and the "Blaze of Reasoning." In particular, in the commentary on the fifteenth chapter, the "Lamp of Wisdom," it is said, 'Here, if things have no essence, then how are they things? If things exist, then they are not without essence, therefore, for the vow made, there is the fault of denying its meaning by itself.' Because the vow is made that things have no self-nature, this contradicts one's own words.

In response to the debate that there is a fault of existence. It says in that itself: Because in the ultimate sense, things have already admitted the existence of self-nature, therefore it has not been vowed that there is no self-nature. Therefore, because there is no slander of the meaning of the vow, it is not that the meaning of the reason is not established, therefore there is no fault in this. Thus, things are considered to be without self-nature in the ultimate sense. Because it is considered that there is no slander, in the conventional sense, if there is no self-nature established by its own nature, it is clearly considered to be slander. Again, it says in that itself: In the ultimate sense, the inner things are without self-nature, because they are made, and because the special statement is dependent. For example, like the transformation of a magician, etc. Thus, in order to prevent self-nature, it is necessary to combine the difference of the ultimate sense. Among them, the meaning of not existing in the ultimate sense is: For how it is, if one examines with reason as it is, then for what is not established to exist, this is the consensus of all scholars. Therefore, in the treatises of this scholar, when establishing the conventional, it is also said: Do not put in the examination that is in accordance with seeing the truth. When preventing self-nature, it is mostly said: When examining with reason, there is not. Therefore, those are the same as the previous ones. However, it is inconsistent whether it is necessary to admit that it is tolerable to examine with reason for what is established by its own nature. Because these two scholars believe that what is established by its own nature is pervaded by the examination of reason for the truth, they also believe that it is pervaded by what is established by the ultimate sense, as said before. Regarding the prevention of what is to be refuted, whether it is done through the other's system or one's own system, there are two: recognizing the meaning of the other's system and one's own system, and which of the two to follow to generate views. First: In the commentary of the scholar Buddhapālita, it is divided into the other's system and one's own system, although it is not clear that it is making the other's system, but, when making the commentary on "Not from myself, not from others, not from both, not without cause. Whatever things, wherever, there is never birth", he made the prevention of the four births by saying the way to harm the other's system.

Then, the scholar Lekden Jepa said: By pointing out the faults of not being able to establish one's own view and refute the views of others, one refutes them. To explain in detail why such faults do not apply to the system of Buddhapalita, the scholar Chandrakirti said: In order to generate the view of Madhyamaka in the mind of the opponent, the Madhyamika must use reductio ad absurdum arguments, but autonomous arguments are not appropriate. Thus, by refuting, he clearly established the position of reductio ad absurdum. There are two ways of establishing such reductio ad absurdum and autonomous arguments: refuting the views of others and establishing one's own view. The first has two parts: stating the opponent's view and refuting it. The first is: Although there are many ways of establishing reductio ad absurdum and autonomous arguments, who can explain all of them? Therefore, some of them will be stated. Here, Jaya Ananta says: In the commentary on the Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds, some say: If reductio ad absurdum is considered a reason, is it established by valid cognition or not? If it is the first, then it is established for both, so how can it be said to be accepted by others? If it is the second, then it is not appropriate for others to accept it, so how can it be said to be accepted by others? The answer to this is: Whatever is established by valid cognition is established for both. I do not understand this, because when the proponent states the proof, even if the reason he presents is established by valid cognition, how does he know that it is also established by valid cognition for others? Because the difference in the minds of others is not the object of direct perception and inference. How does one know that it is established by valid cognition for oneself? Because there is a possibility of being deceived due to the cause of error from a long time ago. Therefore, the proponent and the opponent accept the nature of things by the power of accepting it as valid cognition. Therefore, they say that they refute the views of others by means of what is accepted by others. The former proponent does not know whether the reason is established by valid cognition for the opponent, because his thought is that the two valid cognitions of the former proponent are not established. He himself does not know that the reason is established by valid cognition, because he himself
