Please speak blessings. As stated in the Root Verses: "If there is even a little that is not empty, then there should also be a little emptiness. If there is not a little that is not empty, where can emptiness be established?" As it is said, if one thinks, "Since there is nothing that is not empty, the emptiness of no self-nature does not exist either," here, emptiness and non-emptiness refer to emptiness and non-emptiness by nature, which is established throughout the beginning and end of the scriptures. If so, that which is not empty by nature is established by nature. However, since there is not even a little that is established by nature, what could be more ridiculous than saying that the emptiness of no establishment by nature does not exist either? Furthermore, regarding something like a sprout, if one holds the conviction that it does not have a self-nature established by its own essence, then one will hold that the sprout does not have self-nature. However, one does not hold either that the absence of self-nature exists or that it does not exist. Close your eyes, turn your face inward, and contemplate, and it will be very easy to understand. Thus, since the absence of self-nature cannot be grasped as existent, although it may be reasonable to prevent the emptiness of existence by reasoning in order to reverse the grasping of the absence of self-nature as existent, it is necessary to want to prevent the object of the mind that grasps the absence of self-nature as existent. However, it is extremely unreasonable to prevent the object of the wisdom that realizes the absence of self-nature in a sprout. When we negate the self-nature established by its own essence in a sprout, we will definitely be certain that it has no self-nature. Thereafter, even if another mind grasps that very absence of self-nature as existent, it is not the object of that mind that is prevented by reasoning, but if one wants emptiness to be established by its own essence, then it can be prevented. If one asks, "How does the mind that grasps that absence of self-nature as having self-nature arise?" The answer is: Focusing on the absence of self-nature of the sprout, although it is not established as the self-nature of the sprout, the grasping that the absence of self-nature of the sprout exists as its self-nature arises. For example, although the grasping that the non-existence of a vase is truly existent does not arise, the grasping that the non-existence of a vase is truly existent does arise. If one does so, since there is not even a little that is not empty by nature, the emptiness of the absence of self-nature of the sprout also does not have establishment by its own essence. Saying so becomes a valid reason.
