Furthermore, relying on the three poisons, with the three bases such as the body, the nature is what I have done, that is, personally participating in the creation, or instigating others to create, or rejoicing in what others have done. All of these, in general, are "all that exists." Remembering these faults, generating a sense of regret for what has been done in the past, and generating a sense of protection for the future, confessing with a sincere heart, then one can stop the growth of what has been done in the past, and can cut off the continuation of the future. The branch of rejoicing is the verse "The Buddhas of the ten directions." Remembering the merits and benefits of these five types of people, cultivate joy like a poor person finding treasure. The branch of requesting to turn the wheel of Dharma is the verse "In all places." In the ten directions of the Buddha-fields, manifesting enlightenment, obtaining unobstructed wisdom, for those who have recently become Buddhas, manifesting such bodies, requesting them to teach the Dharma. The scholar Yeshe De has declared the manifestation of enlightenment. The branch of requesting to remain in the world is the verse "Those who wish to show." In the ten directions of the Buddha-fields, those who show the aspect of Nirvana, for the ultimate benefit of sentient beings, and for the temporary happiness of sentient beings, for as many kalpas as there are dust particles in the Buddha-fields, without entering Nirvana, manifesting countless bodies and making requests. The branch of dedication is the verse "All praise." With all the roots of virtue, including the merits of the above six branches, shared with all sentient beings, with a strong intention to dedicate them as the cause of perfect enlightenment, then it will never be exhausted. Thus, understanding the meaning of these words, not being distracted elsewhere, practicing as instructed, one can accumulate immeasurable merit. Thus, prostration, offering, requesting, praying, and rejoicing are the five favorable conditions for accumulating merit; confession is an unfavorable condition for purifying obstacles; one aspect of rejoicing, that is, generating joy for the good one has done, can also increase one's own roots of virtue. Dedication can ensure that the accumulated, purified, and increased roots of virtue do not diminish.

And also develop it even more, and those that temporarily bear fruit and become exhausted, also make them never exhausted. In short, it can be summarized as accumulating, purifying, developing, and making inexhaustible, these three. Then, visualize clearly and offer the mandala. Pray that all the reversed and mistaken thoughts, from disrespecting the spiritual friend to clinging to the duality of self, may quickly cease. Pray that all the non-reversed and correct thoughts, from respecting the spiritual friend to realizing the selflessness of reality, may easily arise. Pray that all external and internal obstacles may be pacified and blessed. Make such prayers many times with strong aspiration. How to practice the main part is divided into two: general methods and specific methods for this occasion. First, what is called "meditation" is repeatedly focusing the mind on a virtuous object, cultivating this aspect of the object. From beginningless time, the mind has been its own master, and one has not been able to master the mind. The mind also tends towards afflictions and other obscurations, thereby creating all faults. Therefore, the purpose of practice is to make this mind one's own master, so that it can be used as desired on virtuous objects. Moreover, if one casually settles on an object and practices, even if one wants to set a certain number of virtuous objects to practice according to one's own wishes, and in what order to proceed, it will not be possible to fulfill one's wishes. This will become a great obstacle to using virtuous objects as desired. If one lets go from the beginning, the virtuous practice of a lifetime will become flawed. Therefore, first determine the number and order of the objects to be practiced. Then, make a strong determination not to deviate from what has been determined, and practice with mindfulness and awareness, without adding or subtracting from what has been determined. The method of practice for this occasion is as follows: First, contemplate the benefits of relying on a spiritual friend, such as quickly attaining Buddhahood, and the faults of not relying on one, such as generating suffering in this life and the next. Then, in order not to arise the mind of observing the faults of the lama, generate the mind of restraint many times, and guard the ethics, samadhi, and wisdom.
