If the complete path is also established as permanent, and it is thought that permanence is also without self-nature. The commentary "Meaningful Explanation" says: If it is like a dream, then there are no ten non-virtues and generosity, etc., then isn't it the case that when one is not asleep, it is the same as when one is asleep? Therefore, it is meaningless to refute those who say that it is like a dream and unreal, as the Madhyamikas say. Therefore, the establishment and non-establishment of the ultimate and conventional in the self-system of those who speak of entities, and the establishment and non-establishment of the conventional and ultimate in the system of the Madhyamikas are very different. Therefore, what they consider to be conventional, if measured by the Madhyamikas, becomes ultimately established; what they consider to be ultimately established, if according to the Madhyamikas, becomes conventionally established, and there is no contradiction, so these must be distinguished. Furthermore, their imputed person and this teacher's imputed person have the same name but different meanings. This teacher believes that they do not have the view of realizing the selflessness of the person, because if they do not realize the selflessness of phenomena, they do not realize the selflessness of the person. Therefore, as long as the tenet that the aggregates are substantially existent is not abandoned, this teacher believes that the person is also grasped as substantially existent, so they do not realize that the person does not exist ultimately. Second, the actual determination of that alone has three parts: identifying the object to be refuted by reasoning, and refuting it, whether that is done by consequence or autonomy, and how to generate the view in the mind based on that action. The first has three parts: the reason why the object to be refuted must be well identified, and refuting the other systems that refute without identifying the object to be refuted, and the way to identify the object to be refuted in one's own system. First, for example, just as it is necessary to know the person who does not exist in order to be certain that this person is not here, it is also necessary to well identify the self and self-nature that do not exist in order to be certain of the meaning of selflessness and self-naturelessness, because if the general object to be refuted is not well manifested, then it is not certain that refuting it is not inverted, as it says in the "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way": Without touching the imputed object, there is no grasping of its non-existence. Therefore, it is said. In this regard, the different differences of the object to be refuted are infinite, but...

If the antidotes that are briefly summarized are prohibited from the root, then all the antidotes that are to be prohibited will also be prohibited. This is like, if the key point of the antidote is not thoroughly prohibited from the subtle point, then one will fall into the extreme of remaining in existence with remnants, and because of generating attachment to things, one will not be able to be liberated from samsara. If one is too extreme and prohibits without grasping the limit of what is to be prohibited, then one will fall into the extreme of annihilationism by refuting the order of cause and effect and dependent origination, and that very view will lead one to the lower realms. Therefore, it is very important to correctly recognize the object to be prohibited, because if one does not recognize this, one will inevitably generate either the view of permanence or the view of annihilation. Second, refuting the views of others who prohibit without recognizing the object to be prohibited is divided into two: refuting the recognition of the object to be prohibited as being too broad, and refuting the recognition of the object to be prohibited as being too narrow. The first is divided into two: stating the view and showing its unreasonableness. First, Now, most of those who want to explain the meaning of Madhyamaka say: By the reasoning that examines whether birth and so on are truly established or not, all dharmas from form to omniscience are negated, because no matter what one asserts, if one analyzes it with reasoning, there is not even a particle that can withstand examination. And, since all four extremes of existence and non-existence have been negated, there is no dharma that is not included in them. Furthermore, the wisdom of the noble ones who see reality sees that there is no birth, cessation, bondage, liberation, etc., so it must be measured according to that, so there is no birth, etc. If one asserts birth, etc., then when analyzing it with the reasoning that examines it, can it withstand analysis or not? If it can withstand analysis, then because there is an object that can withstand analysis by reasoning, it will become truly existent. If it cannot withstand analysis, then how can it be reasonable that there is something that is negated by reasoning? Similarly, if one asserts that there is birth, etc., then is it established by valid cognition or not? If it is like the first case, then the wisdom that sees reality sees that there is no birth, so it is not reasonable to be established by it. If one asserts that it is established by the conventional eye consciousness, etc., then because it has been prohibited that these are valid cognitions, these are not reasonable as valid cognitions for establishing it. As it says in the Samadhiraja Sutra: "Eyes, ears, and nose are not valid cognitions, tongue, body, and mind are also not valid cognitions, if these faculties were valid cognitions,"
