It is necessary to take it completely literally. If it is not like that, it will become not in accordance with the literal meaning, and thus become provisional, which is also unreasonable. Because when the Buddha, who said that, prevents birth and so on, there are not many definitive sutra sections that combine the difference of ultimate meaning. If one difference combination occurs, then even when it does not occur, it must be combined because it is a common dharma. Moreover, that is the suchness of that dharma, so how can such a statement become provisional? If it is not like that, because the general characteristic of birth is prevented, the difference word must also be prevented, so the definitive sutra itself that states that cannot be established. Therefore, one cannot understand the sutra or treatise by not combining the overall thought and context mentioned above and below, but only according to the superficial meaning of individual words, so the definitive scripture will not be destroyed. One should know that even if one can understand the superficial meaning of that word literally, it will not become provisional. Second, how did the way of explaining Nagarjuna's intention come about? Like this, how can one explain Nagarjuna's intention without reversing the Prajnaparamita Sutra and other scriptures that state that all dharmas have no self-nature of birth and cessation, etc.? Regarding this, Aryadeva was also regarded as a valid person like the teacher by the great Madhyamikas such as the teacher Buddhapalita, Bhavaviveka, Chandrakirti, and Shantarakshita. The two, father and son, are the source of other Madhyamikas, so ancient people called them the fundamental Madhyamikas, and called others the partisan Madhyamikas. Among them, some ancient virtuous friends say: There are two types of Madhyamikas named from the way of establishing conventions: those who believe that external objects exist in conventions are the Sutra-follower Madhyamikas, and those who believe that external objects do not exist in conventions are the Yoga-follower Madhyamikas. There are also two types named from the viewpoint of ultimate meaning: those who believe that the union of appearance and emptiness is the ultimate truth are the Illusion School, and those who believe that merely cutting off the proliferation of appearance is the ultimate truth are the Non-abiding School.

The former of the two is considered to be the master Śāntarakṣita and Kamalaśīla, etc. Some Indian masters also accept the terms such as illusion and non-abiding. In general, although some Chinese and Tibetan masters who claim to be Madhyamikas think so, it should be determined what the tradition of the great Madhyamikas who follow the master Nāgārjuna is like. Who can explain in detail? In addition, the great translator Lodan Sherab said that dividing into two from the point of view of ultimate truth is a strange classification that creates confusion, which is very good. Because their view seems to be that only what is measured by rational knowledge and inference is considered the ultimate truth. Since what is measured by rational knowledge is in accordance with the ultimate truth, it is named ultimate truth, as stated in both the Madhyamakālaṃkāra and the Ālokamālā. Other great Madhyamikas do not consider that merely cutting off elaboration with reason is the ultimate truth, so it is not correct. On this, the master Yeshe De said: The noble father and son masters did not clearly explain the existence or non-existence of external objects in their Madhyamaka treatises. After that, the master Legden 'byed refuted the doctrine of only consciousness and established the tradition of the existence of external objects in conventional truth. Then, the master Śāntarakṣita, based on the treatises of Yogācāra, created a different Madhyamaka tradition that denies external objects in conventional truth and teaches that the mind has no nature in ultimate truth, so the Madhyamaka school was divided into two types. The former is called the Sutra-following Madhyamaka and the latter is called the Yoga-following Madhyamaka. This explanation shows the order in which things happened. However, although the master Candrakīrti believes that external objects exist in conventional truth, he cannot be called a Sutra-following school because he does not agree with the views of other philosophical schools. Similarly, it is also very unreasonable to think that it is in agreement with the Vaibhāṣika school. The later scholars of Tibet use the terms Prāsaṅgika and Svātantrika for the Madhyamaka school, which is in accordance with the Prasannapadā, so it is not considered self-made. Therefore, denying external objects in conventional truth
