And also, one must lead to a definite understanding of non-elaboration, where not even a particle of the object of grasping at self and what belongs to self as real exists, and also lead to a definite understanding of this arising from this, and what faults and merits this has; these two must be non-contradictory. This also depends on how the view of the basis, the two truths, is determined. Because by scripture and reasoning, it is determined that all phenomena of samsara and nirvana do not have even a particle of inherent nature in their own way of abiding or existing, this is the valid cognition that establishes the ultimate truth; and for the phenomena of cause and effect, without even a little confusion, each cause and effect is determined, this is the valid cognition that establishes the conventional truth. Not to mention that these two become mutually harmful and harmed, if one is convinced that they become mutual helpers, then from there one enters the ranks of understanding the meaning of the two truths and obtaining the Buddha's intention. This principle will be explained during the time of insight. The meaning of the third scripture is that the occasion of that sutra is the occasion of analyzing birth and so on, therefore it is said that generosity and so on are not merely born from that, but are established by conceptualization, merely showing that they are nominally established by conceptualization, not showing that one should abandon them without relying on them. Therefore, until one becomes a Buddha, there is no time when one does not need to train in those practices. Therefore, one must train in the practices of the six perfections and so on, and if one strives to accomplish what can be accomplished now from the depths of one's heart, then strive to accomplish it. Those that cannot be done for the time being should also be made the object of aspiration, and in order to be able to practice those, accumulate merit, purify obscurations, and make many aspirations, then one will soon be able to enjoy the practice. If one does not do so, but instead grasps at the aspects that one does not understand and does not do, and says that one does not need to learn those, then one will cause oneself and others to fall, and also become a contributing factor to the decline of Buddhism, which should not be done. In the Sutra Collection it is said: "Even for the unconditioned, one separately thinks, and also is completely disgusted with the virtue of the conditioned, this is the work of a demon. One also completely understands the path of enlightenment, and also does not seek the path of the perfections, this is the work of a demon." And, a bodhisattva who lacks skillful means should not be too diligent in the profound dharma.

O! Thus it is said. From the 'Inconceivable Secret'. This is like saying, for example, fire burns from fuel, and without fuel it will be extinguished. Similarly, the mind burns from an object of focus, and without an object of focus, the mind will be pacified. Therefore, a Bodhisattva who is skilled in means, with the completely pure Prajnaparamita, also knows that the object of focus is close to being pacified. They do not make the object of focus on the root of virtue close to being pacified. They also do not cause the object of focus on afflictions to arise. They also place the object of focus on the Paramitas. They also separately contemplate the object of focus on emptiness. They also look at the object of focus on all sentient beings with great compassion. Thus, it is necessary to distinguish between the way of having no object of focus and the way of having an object of focus. Similarly, it is necessary to loosen the bonds of afflictions and clinging to characteristics, and it is necessary to tightly bind with the rope of discipline. It is necessary to destroy two faults, and it is not necessary to destroy virtuous deeds. Therefore, being bound by discipline and being bound by clinging to characteristics are not the same. Loosening the protection of vows and loosening the bonds of clinging to self are also not the same. Omniscience is accomplished from many causes, and it is not sufficient to rely on only one. Therefore, it is said that chasing a hundred birds with one stone, and having obtained a good basis of leisure, it is sufficient to extract the essence from various doors. If one only practices a part of the path and does not practice other parts, know that this is an evil friend who obstructs the door of the two accumulations. Whether to learn the infinite accumulations or not is the very point at the time of practicing the Great Vehicle and the Small Vehicle. The Temporary Vehicle and the Small Vehicle are two different names, and the meaning of the Temporary Vehicle is that it is only one-sided. Now, even inferior fruits such as food and drink must be accomplished by many causes and conditions. Therefore, it is unreasonable to think that it is sufficient to be one-sided in order to accomplish the supreme goal of human life, Buddhahood. Because the fruit follows the cause is the nature of dependent origination. Considering this, it is also said in the White Lotus of Compassion that the Temporary Vehicle is accomplished by the Temporary Vehicle, and the Complete is accomplished by the Complete. It is also said in the Sutra of the Appearance of the Tathagata that the appearance of the Tathagatas is due to one cause.
