The Sakya school says that if this teaching does not decline, it can be seen that the suffering of sentient beings can be averted, so there is also the intention to eliminate suffering, but the main cause of generating Bodhicitta is the intolerance of the decline of the teaching. If it is not like this, it will be repeated with what is said below about generating Bodhicitta based on compassion. The fourth is that seeing the heart of great meaning as rare, it is mainly motivated by it to generate the desire to attain Buddhahood. This generation of Bodhicitta is established from the perspective of generating the desire to attain Bodhi, not from the perspective of doing something for the sake of it. If there is no desire to attain Buddhahood through cultivating faith in the qualities of the Buddha, then the thought that one can achieve one's own benefit by relying solely on peace will not change. By cultivating love and compassion, seeing the need to benefit others and wanting to attain Buddhahood, one can change the thought that one can achieve the benefit of others by relying solely on peace, because one cannot change the previous sense of satisfaction, and there is no other way to prevent it. The thought that one can achieve one's own benefit by relying solely on peace is not unnecessary to change, because the Hinayana, which is merely liberated from Samsara, does not have complete abandonment and realization, so there is no complete self-interest, and although they are liberated from the decay of existence, they are not liberated from the decay of peace. The complete self-interest is the Dharmakaya of the Buddha. Therefore, cultivating faith in the qualities of the Buddha, let alone benefiting others, even for the sake of achieving one's own benefit, if one sees that it is necessary to attain Buddhahood, then it will become a great cause for not regressing into the Hinayana. The first two Bodhicittas mentioned earlier do not appear to be guided by love and compassion, and in other scriptures and treatises, it often appears that merely seeing the qualities of the Rupakaya and Dharmakaya of the Buddha leads to the generation of the desire to attain Buddhahood, which is said to be the generation of Bodhicitta, and the vow to place all sentient beings in Buddhahood is also said to be the generation of Bodhicitta. Therefore, each of these two Bodhicittas must be counted as merely generating Bodhicitta, and for Bodhicitta with complete characteristics, merely seeing the need to benefit others leads to the generation of the desire to attain Buddha

It is not enough to just wish for it. Recognizing that one must have a Buddha for one's own benefit and wishing to attain it, and not neglecting the benefit of others, but striving for the sake of others as well. As the Ornament for Clear Realization states: "For the sake of others, one desires perfect and complete enlightenment." Therefore, one must strive for both enlightenment and the benefit of others. It arises from four causes: a perfect lineage, being embraced by a virtuous friend, loving-kindness towards sentient beings, and not being discouraged by the hardships of samsara. Bodhicitta arises in dependence on these four. It arises from four powers: desiring complete enlightenment through one's own strength is self-power, desiring complete enlightenment through the strength of others is other-power, having been accustomed to the Great Vehicle in the past, merely hearing the praise of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas gives rise to causal power, and here, relying on holy beings, listening to the Dharma, and contemplating it, etc., being long accustomed to virtue is the power of application. It arises in dependence on these four powers. If it arises from oneself and the power of the cause, relying on each or all of these eight causes and conditions, it is stable. If it arises from others and the power of application, relying on these causes and conditions, it is not stable, as stated in the Bodhisattva-bhumi. Therefore, in this time when the general teachings and especially the teachings of the Great Vehicle are declining, and it has become the worst of degenerate times, clearly recognizing that generating bodhicitta from the depths of one's heart is extremely rare, one should rely on a holy spiritual friend, strive to listen to and contemplate the Great Vehicle scriptures, etc., and not be involuntarily driven by others, or follow the crowd or trends. One should establish the root of generating bodhicitta from the depths of one's heart with one's own strength, because all the practices of a Bodhisattva must rely on this. Second, the stages of training the mind of enlightenment: the instructions passed down from Jowo Je (Atisha) are the sevenfold cause and effect, and the two ways of training that appear in the works of the holy Shantideva. The sevenfold cause and effect is that perfect and complete enlightenment arises from bodhicitta, bodhicitta arises from higher intention, higher intention arises from great compassion, great compassion arises from loving-kindness, loving-kindness arises from recognizing all beings as one's mother,
