As an antidote to ignorance, one should listen to instructions and gain knowledge. As an antidote to carelessness, there is mindfulness that does not forget the objects of what to adopt and abandon, and constant examination of the three doors of body, speech, and mind, knowing which to engage in good and bad, and knowing shame that avoids wrongdoing by valuing oneself or the Dharma, and having embarrassment that avoids wrongdoing thinking that others will criticize, and being cautious and restrained by fearing the ripening of misdeeds, etc., one should train in these. As an antidote to disrespect, one should respect the teacher, their precepts, and those who practice the same pure conduct. As an antidote to abundant afflictions, one should examine one's own mind and diligently rely on the antidote to whichever affliction is most dominant. If one does not strive in this way, thinking that it is only a small fault to transgress this much, and indulges in the precepts, one will only obtain suffering. As it says in the Vinayavibhaṅga: "Whoever thinks lightly of the compassionate teachings of the teacher and slightly transgresses, from that they will obtain suffering under the control of others, like cutting down a bamboo grove and ruining a mango grove. Here, someone who violates the great command of the king, even after death, will not receive punishment many times. If one improperly transgresses the words of the Sage, one will go to the animal realm, like the leaf worm of the Ela tree." Therefore, one should strive not to be stained by faults and transgressions, and even if stained a hundred times, one should not think it doesn't matter, but strive to remedy the transgressions and sins as instructed. As it says in the Brahma-paripṛcchā-sūtra: "One should rely on the training, and diligently apply oneself to it from the heart. One should not abandon it, and should not destroy it even for the sake of one's life. One should always diligently abide in it, and should enter into discipline." And in the Śīlavisuddhi-sūtra: "Monks, it is better to die having abandoned life than to have morality broken and destroyed. Why is that? Abandoning life and dying only exhausts the life of this one existence, but breaking and destroying morality separates one from their lineage for hundreds of thousands of millions of existences, abandoning happiness, and one will experience great downfalls." As it was taught with reasoning, one should protect it even at the cost of one's life. If not, then my hair

One should contemplate that shaving the head and wearing saffron robes are meaningless. As the Samadhiraja Sutra says: "Having become ordained in this Buddha's teaching, they engage in extremely sinful deeds, considering wealth and grain as essential, and are attached to vehicles, cattle, horses, and carts. Those who have no diligence in learning, why do they shave their heads?" Therefore. If one wishes to escape from conditioned samsara and go to the city of liberation, if the foot of morality is weakened, not only will one not be able to go, but one will return to samsara and be destroyed by all sufferings, as illustrated by an example. The Samadhiraja Sutra says: "If a person is greatly harassed by many thieves, and desires to survive by fleeing and trying to escape, then his feet cannot walk or run. Just as that person is captured and destroyed by thieves, so too, a foolish person whose morality is weakened, although he desires to escape from conditioned things, cannot escape because his morality is weakened, and is utterly destroyed by old age, sickness, and death." Thus it is said. Therefore, as that sutra says: "Wearing the white clothes of a householder, whatever precepts I have spoken, at that time, those monks will also not have those precepts." Thus, in this time when the five precepts spoken to lay practitioners are fully kept, but are said to be absent even in monks, striving for precepts is especially important because the fruit is great, so one should strive. That sutra says: "For as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, with a joyful mind, with food and drink, with umbrellas, banners, and garlands of lamps, one serves billions of Buddhas. Whoever, when the sacred Dharma is utterly destroyed, when the Sugata's teaching is about to decline, practices one precept day and night, this merit is far superior to that merit." Therefore. Furthermore, even if there is a transgression, thinking that it is enough to confess, and engaging without the intention to refrain from doing so in the future, is like eating poison thinking that it can be remedied later. As the Maitreya Lion's Roar Sutra says: "Maitreya, in the future, in the final five hundred years of the degenerate age, some bodhisattvas who are householders and some who are ordained will say this: Sinful deeds can be purified by confession.
