He also recites these, holding the left hand's vajra fist at the navel, and contemplates that all directions are without inherent existence, equal in suchness. The master faces west, and where does the companion reside? Reciting ༀ་བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཡ་སཱུ་ཏྲཾ་མ་ཏི་ཀྲ་མ་ཧཱུཾ། (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning), hold the line with the thumb and index finger of the right hand holding the vajra, and establish it in the sky with the sound of the handbell. Contemplate that this sound urges all the Buddhas pervading the sky to come and merge into the line. Then, the master raises his right knee upward, sits in the left lotus posture, and the companion sits in the opposite manner.
