When the consciousness of a student practitioner abides in the great bliss of directly realizing the absence of inherent existence, at that time, all dualistic appearances subside, so the appearance of the mudra of emptiness-form does not arise. However, at that time, it is not necessary to be without the mudra of emptiness-form, just like the practitioner's own hands and feet, etc. If emptiness-form is conventional truth, then do you consider it to be a valid conventional truth or a false conventional truth? The Svātantrika-Madhyamikas accept the meaning of inherent existence in name only, and also, with regard to conventional truth, they establish all subjects as valid conventional truth, and its objects as having the distinction of two types of conventional truth, valid and false. For the consciousness of the world, both the object, such as the appearance of hair, and its subject, such as the eye consciousness that perceives hair, are false. And both the object, the moon, and its subject, the eye consciousness, are called valid. However, the intention of the noble ones, according to the tradition of Madhyamaka as explained by Āryadeva, Buddhapālita, Candrakīrti, etc., even in name only, all phenomena are not established by inherent existence. If conventional truth is divided into two, then that which is led by the companion of the inverted must necessarily be transformed into the non-inverted, because all conventional truths, even in name only, are equally inverted, abiding in one state and appearing as another. Therefore, the two types of conventional truth, valid and false, are not distinguished. In this regard, the emptiness that is spoken of as emptiness with an object, emptiness-form, is not the emptiness established from the aspect of being empty of the object of negation, truth, but rather the emptiness spoken of from the aspect of being empty of the object of negation, the material dharma of an aggregation of atoms. Thus, it is also shown many times by "The nature of subtle particles has passed beyond," etc. Nāropa also said, "Things are empty of the nature of an aggregation of subtle particles, being completely separated," etc., and said much. Therefore, in order to refute the clinging to emptiness-form as being true, these texts also take emptiness-form itself as the basis, and refute both the existence of form established by inherent existence and the complete non-existence of form. In the Compendium of Powers, it is also said for that purpose: "If you see form that exists, why do you not see your own face? If there is no
