是建造佛像的利益。如是说。光明王请问的经中也说：建造能仁的佛塔，能消除诸忧恼，能令身体一切增长，成为最主要的珍宝库藏众多，并且能战胜地上的敌众。如是说。于完全寂灭大经中：恒常生起欢喜心，无论是佛像或佛塔，哪怕只有拇指大小，也不会动摇，并且会转生于彼处。如是教诲。清净女请问中所说：此外，女儿，菩萨以具足八种法之故，于诸佛前从莲花中化生。何为八种？纵然命在旦夕，也不说他人的过失，劝勉众生皈依三宝，将一切安立于菩提心，不贪著梵行，造作如来之身像后安放于莲花座上，遣除众生之忧恼，于骄慢者前恒常自居下位，以及不损害他人。此乃是。之后，世尊以偈颂教诲说：假若为痛苦所逼迫，何时也不说他人的过失，恒常赞叹诸佛，于佛前化生。生起菩提心，并且劝勉一切趋向遍知，恒常行持梵行，于佛前化生。以黄金严饰佛像，安放于珍宝莲花座上，凡是遣除众生忧恼者，于佛前化生。对于那些骄慢者，如弟子般自居下位，凡是不损害他人者，于佛前化生。如是说。宝女请问中所说：如来大丈夫相，以及大雄伟之身一切美妙庄严，这是往昔建造如来之身像，修缮破损的佛塔，救护他人于怖畏之中，以及调解不和众生所致。

These are the benefits of building Buddha images. So it is said. Also in the Sutra Requested by Clear King: By building the stupa of the Sage King, it eliminates all sorrows, increases the entire body, becomes the most important treasure trove, and overcomes the assembly of enemies on earth. So it appears. In the Great Nirvana Sutra: Always generate a joyful mind, whether it is a Buddha image or a stupa, even if it is only the size of a thumb, it will not be shaken and will be reborn there. So it was taught. As said in the Sutra Requested by the Pure Daughter: Furthermore, daughter, because the Bodhisattva possesses eight kinds of Dharma, he will be born miraculously from a lotus in front of all the Buddhas. What are the eight? Even if life is at stake, one does not speak of the faults of others, encourages sentient beings to take refuge in the Three Jewels, establishes all in the mind of Bodhi, is not attached to pure conduct, makes images of the Tathagata and places them on lotus seats, eliminates the sorrows of sentient beings who are suffering, always humbles oneself before the arrogant, and does not harm others. This is it. Then, the Bhagavan taught in verses: Even if afflicted by suffering, never speak of the faults of others, always praise the Three Jewels, and be born miraculously in front of the Buddha. Generate the mind of Bodhi, and encourage all to strive for omniscience, always practice pure conduct, and be born miraculously in front of the Buddha. Adorn the Buddha image with gold, and place it on a precious lotus seat, whoever eliminates the sorrows of sentient beings, is born miraculously in front of the Buddha. To those who are arrogant, humble oneself like a disciple, and whoever does not harm others, is born miraculously in front of the Buddha. So it is said. As said in the Sutra Requested by the Jewel Daughter: The marks of the Tathagata's great man, and the great and majestic body, all beautiful and adorned, are due to having built images of the Tathagata in the past, repairing broken stupas, rescuing others from fear, and reconciling discordant sentient beings.

成就。 姑娘，往昔行持无量无数的善根之法，由此如来之身便能显现成就三十二大丈夫相。 又如《圣宝云经》中说： 善男子，菩萨具有十法，便能不为胎藏之垢所染而生。 何为十法？ 比如，建造如来之身像，修缮破损的佛塔，向如来佛塔供奉香油，供奉沐浴香水，进行扫除，供奉涂香，对父母行持身之侍奉，对堪布和阿阇黎行持身之侍奉，对梵行者们行持身之侍奉，并且以无杂染之心，而非以杂染之心，如此这般回向善根：以此善根，愿一切众生皆能不为胎藏之垢所染而生。 如此完全回向，并且是从内心深处思念。 善男子，具有这十法，便能不为胎藏之垢所染而生。《白莲经》中也曾开示： 诸佛如来涅槃后， 谁人供养诸佛之舍利， 众多舍利佛塔， 或是以金银或琉璃， 或以石之精髓所造之佛塔， 以青金石或如是绀青宝， 有的以珍珠或珂珂噜所造， 彼等亦能获得菩提。 谁人以石造佛塔， 谁人以沉香或旃檀， 谁人以桦木造佛塔， 有的以木或其他所造， 或以泥土或砖所砌成， 欢喜造佛之佛塔， 因此即便以土堆， 在寂静空旷之处所造， 或为孩童嬉戏之用， 谁人为诸佛而造佛塔， 即使以沙堆积而成， 彼等亦能获得菩提。 有的如是塑造珍宝之像， 塑造具足三十二相之像， 谁人为彼而造， 彼等一切皆能获得菩提。

Accomplishment. Girl, in the past, by practicing immeasurable and countless virtuous root dharmas, the body of the Tathagata will manifest and accomplish the thirty-two major marks of a great man. Furthermore, as stated in the "Holy Cloud of Jewels Sutra": Noble son, if a Bodhisattva possesses ten qualities, he will be born without being defiled by the impurities of the womb. What are the ten? For example, constructing the body image of the Tathagata, repairing dilapidated stupas, offering fragrant oil to the stupa of the Tathagata, offering fragrant bathing water, performing sweeping, offering incense, serving one's parents with bodily service, serving one's Khenpo and Acharya with bodily service, serving those who practice pure conduct with bodily service, and doing so with a mind free from defilement, not with a defiled mind. In this way, dedicate the virtuous roots: With this virtuous root, may all sentient beings be born without being defiled by the impurities of the womb. Dedicate in this complete manner, and contemplate from the depths of your heart. Noble son, possessing these ten qualities, one will be born without being defiled by the impurities of the womb. In the "White Lotus Sutra," it is also taught: After the Buddhas, the Tathagatas, have passed into Nirvana, whoever makes offerings to the relics of the Buddhas, many stupas of relics, whether made of gold, silver, or crystal, or stupas made of the essence of stone, with lapis lazuli or similar sapphire jewels, some made of pearls or Kekeru, they too will attain Bodhi. Whoever makes a stupa of stone, whoever makes a stupa of Agarwood or sandalwood, whoever makes a stupa of birch wood, some made of wood or other materials, or built with earth or bricks, joyfully making a stupa for the Buddhas, therefore, even with mounds of earth, made in quiet, desolate places, or for the sake of children's play, whoever makes a stupa for the Buddhas, even if piled up with sand, they too will attain Bodhi. Some likewise create images of precious jewels, creating images endowed with the thirty-two marks, whoever makes them for that purpose, all of them will attain Bodhi.

Will be obtained. Some use the seven precious things there, and some likewise use copper and staves, making images of the Thus-gone ones, all of those will attain enlightenment. Whether it be lead, iron, or earth, making images of the Thus-gone ones, arranging for the making of pleasing clay works. All of those will attain enlightenment. Whoever draws images on the wall, that is the body of the complete symbol of merit, whether I draw it myself or have it drawn by others, all of those will attain enlightenment. Whether they are men or young women, some who are learning there, when playing games and creating new things, drawing images on the wall with fingernails or wooden sticks, all of those will attain enlightenment, all of those will become meaningful, all will also liberate billions of beings, and truly establish many Bodhisattvas. Relics of the Thus-gone ones, and clay images and stupas as well, wall paintings and mounds of stupas, offering flowers and incense there, whoever arranges for the sound of beautiful cymbals, conches, and great drums to be played there, for the sake of offering the supreme enlightenment, whoever diligently beats drums, lutes, flutes, and hand drums, pottery drums, single-stringed instruments, pleasing flutes, and the Agonada that gives forth extremely beautiful sounds, all of those will attain enlightenment. For the sake of offering to the Thus-gone ones, whoever arranges for the striking of iron bells, or casts them into water, or claps their hands, and sings pleasing and beautiful songs, and offers those relics in various ways, all of those will become Buddhas of the world. For the relics of the Thus-gone ones, even if a slight sound of a bell is struck, or offering with just one flower, or drawing an image of the Thus-gone one on the wall, even if offering with a distracted mind, those will gradually see billions of Buddhas. To that stupa, whoever joins their palms, or one fully joined palm, or just bows their head for a moment, or likewise bends their body just once, to those places where relics reside.
