One will not fall into evil destinies. In the central land, one will possess all powers like the rising sun. One will be able to hear, remember, and recall past lives. Furthermore, it is said: "The sins committed in thousands of kalpas, which are extremely severe and unbearable, can be purified in an instant merely by seeing the image on this ground." It is also said: "If one makes offerings to the body relics of the savior of the world, one will experience happiness, and in countless realms of gods, as a king or enjoying wealth, one will obtain rare mantra accomplishments, obtain various kinds of things, various kinds of actions and enjoyments, and the supreme of worldly perfections, the adornment of the parasol and the three liberations. By making offerings to the body relics, one will obtain all accomplishments." Thus it is proclaimed. In the "Noble Sutra of True Realization," the powerful one of the victors declared: "The body of the Tathagata, like a great son without attachment, is completely adorned. This is accomplished by having previously made images of the Tathagata, repaired dilapidated stupas, and relieved others from fear." Also, in the "Sutra on the Benefits of Making Images of the Tathagata," it is said: "Monks, the benefactor who makes images of the Tathagata has five benefits. What are the five? They are: residing in a vast mansion, being renowned for good stature, having increased joy, having a long life, being endowed with fame, and having increased happiness. Monks, this is the first benefit of the benefactor who makes images of the Tathagata. Furthermore, one will become wealthy, possess many riches, have vast enjoyment, have many possessions, be independent, possess many properties, possess many riches, grains, treasures, gold, storehouses, and granaries, possess many horses, elephants, cattle, sheep, male servants, female servants, laborers, and those who live on leftovers, and will also have many ministers, close friends, relatives, and in-laws. Monks, this is the second benefit. Monks, furthermore, one will have a beautiful appearance, be pleasing to the eye, be beautiful and attractive, have a complexion as good as gold, and a head as round as an umbrella."

With a broad forehead, long arms, a wide brow, unbroken eyebrows, complete limbs, and adorned with all ornaments. Monks, this is the third benefit. Monks, furthermore, a wheel-turning king possesses a fine wheel, is endowed with the seven precious things, and is surrounded by a thousand sons. All his sons, wives, servants, or attendants respectfully listen to him and obey his commands. Monks, this is the fourth benefit. Monks, furthermore, when he departs from his body, he will be reborn among the gods in the happy realm of heaven. Having been born there, he will become a distinguished king of the gods, a refuge for gods, sons of gods, and daughters of gods. He will have dominion over ten things: the life of the gods, the complexion of the gods, the power of the gods, the bliss of the gods, the dominion of the gods, and he will delight in the forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tactile sensations of the gods. Monks, this is the fifth benefit of a generous person who makes an image of the Thus-Gone One. Thus he spoke. Furthermore, in the Holy Essence of Earth Ten Wheels Sutra, it is said: Son of good family, furthermore, suppose that all the great Arhats who have attained the other shore, possess the eight liberations, and are absorbed in meditation, fill this entire three-thousand-great-thousand world realm, like rice sprouts, sesame, rapeseed, reeds, or sugarcane groves. They are all bound by five bonds for a hundred thousand years. Then, a person with great power appears in the world, and desiring merit, he unties all those bonds, then washes all those Arhats with scented water, and offers them Dharma robes and alms bowls for a hundred thousand years. He also provides them with dwellings, thrones, clothes, food, medicine for illnesses, and various kinds of necessities as they wish. Even after those Arhats have passed into Nirvana, he makes offerings, cremates them, collects their relics, and makes offerings with the seven precious things.
