Visualize the breath of the nose dissolving into the mantra garland, and contemplate that the nine faces and all the deities are reciting, and recite without faults. The faults of recitation are the two extremes of being too fast or too slow, too clear or unclear, reversing the two of long and short, being interrupted by other words, the mind wandering elsewhere, and so on. In the Six-Faced Tantra, it says: With a mind that does not go elsewhere, recite in such a way. If the mind goes elsewhere, even if recited for a kalpa, it will not produce results. It is said thus, and there are many others, so it is especially important that the mind is not distracted. If the mind is focused on the burning letters while reciting, accomplishment will be swift, as Lalita said. The mantra for recitation is: Om Yamaraja Sadomeya Yamedoru Nayodaya Yadayo Niraya Yakshaya Yakshaya Yatsa Nirramaya Hum Hum Phet Phet Svaha. This is the root mantra or mala mantra. Om Hrih Strih Vikritanana Hum Phet. This is the karma mantra. Combining this with Hum Hum Phet Phet Svaha, Manne says that either can be chosen. Om Yamantaka Hum Phet. This is the heart mantra. Om Vajra Vetali Aye Gatsa Agatsa Hum Dza Svaha. This is the mantra of the consort. Om Zina Zik Hum Phet. Om Ratna Dhrik Hum Phet. Om Aro Lik Hum Phet. Om Prajna Dhrik Hum Phet. Om Mudgara Dhrik Hum Phet. Om Danda Dhrik Hum Phet. Om Padma Dhrik Hum Phet. Om Khanga Dhrik Hum Phet. Om Moha Ra ti Hum Phet. Om Dvesha Rati Hum Phet. Om Raga Rati Hum Phet. Om Vajra Rati Hum Phet. These are the mantras of the retinue deities. Regarding the number, the third chapter of the Tantra says: Recite the root mantra one million times, the karma mantra three million times, and the heart mantra one million times the number of letters, then one will be able to accomplish all activities. The fourth chapter says: Recite the root mantra three million times. In other sadhana texts of this practice, the explanation of the number of recitations is the same as before. Acharya Jnana Akara said that one should first practice the approach for ten million times or obtain the signs before starting the activities. Regarding the two types of empowerment, Amodha Vajra said that reciting the ten-syllable mantra one million times is for the empowerment of the solitary hero. But here, each of the retinue also needs to recite ten thousand times. Many peaceful and other activities

Regarding the recitation for accomplishment, it is considered good to recite the mantra a billion times, unless the individual in the present time has obtained the stable signs as spoken of. The ritual for purifying the mala is to cleanse and purify the mala made of human bones, etc. Visualize each bead of the mala as Yama, the Destroyer, from fire, and gaze at the head from which blood is flowing as it melts. With the right thumb, with the thought of hooking the deity with an iron hook, take down the mala and recite. If tired from recitation, offer praise again. Recite the hundred-syllable mantra of Yama, the Destroyer. If accomplished, offer the torma at the end of each session. If not accomplished, offer the torma at the end of the last session. The order of that is, if it is a continuation of the session, then there is no need to newly generate the self-generation deity. If it is not like that, then perform either the elaborate or concise self-generation deity. In an instant, visualize the mandala of Yama, the Destroyer, in front. With the rays of light from the seed syllable at your heart, invite the wheel of wisdom and dissolve it into non-duality. Then, from your heart, emanate the wrathful one holding a lasso and an iron hook. Visualize grabbing the hearts of the directional guardians with the iron hook, binding their throats with the lasso, and pulling them over. Recite: Om Hrih Strih Vikritanana Hum Hum Phat Phat Sarva Dustam Indra Adi Na Pari Vara Akarshaya Jah Svaha. (Tibetan: ༀ་ཧྲཱིཿ ཥྚྲཱིཿ ཝི་ཀྲི་ཏཱ་ན་ན་ཧཱུཾ་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ་ཕཊ་སརྦ་དུཥྚཾ་ཨིནྡྲ་ཨཱ་དི་ནས་པ་རི་ཝཱ་ར་ཨཱ་ཀརྵ་ཡ་ཛཿ སྭཱཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ ह्रीः क्ष्रीः विक्रितानन हूं हूं फट् फट् सर्व दुष्टं इन्द्र आदि न परि vara आकर्षय जः स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanized: oṃ hrīḥ kṣrīḥ vikrītanāna hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ sarva duṣṭaṃ indra ādi na pari vara ākarṣaya jaḥ svāhā, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Hrih, Strih, Vikritanana, Hum, Hum, Phat, Phat, All, Evil ones, Indra, etc., Retinue, Attract, Jah, Svaha.) With this mantra, summon the directional guardians and place them in the respective directions of the mandala: In the east is Indra, reddish-yellow, riding an elephant, with a thousand eyes, holding a vajra in his right hand and a threatening mudra in his left. To his left is the near lord, black, riding a garuda, holding a churning stick and a wheel in his right hand, and a conch shell and a wish-fulfilling jewel in his left. In the south is Yama, black, riding a buffalo, with reddish-yellow hair blazing upwards, holding a wooden staff in his right hand and a threatening mudra in his left. In the west is the water god, white, riding a snake, holding a snake lasso. In the north is Vaishravana, yellow, with a fat body, residing in treasure, holding a city of seeds in his right hand and a mongoose in his left. To his left is Ganapati, with a white elephant trunk, riding a mouse, holding a mala and a cleaver in his right hand, and a radish and a turnip in his left. In the northeast is Ishana, white, riding a bull, with matted hair, holding a trident and a skull cup, embracing Gauri with both hands. In the southeast is the fire god, red, riding a ram, holding a
