It is said that neither is sufficient, both are necessary. Saraha said: "By entering emptiness without compassion, one cannot attain the supreme state. If one only meditates on compassion, one will not be liberated from samsara. Whoever is able to unite the two, will not abide in samsara, nor will they abide in nirvana." Dohalal explains that innate wisdom is the essence of the life force, therefore the compassion here is also innate bliss. As previously explained, when innate bliss arises, various discursive thoughts disappear, and the mind abides in an unwavering state. The bliss that arises from this does not spread to any place, and merely meditating without thought is the meaning of meditating on emptiness. If one only meditates on bliss, one will not be liberated from samsara, therefore one must cultivate a thorough understanding of the meaning of selflessness. In the unsurpassed tantras and their qualified commentaries, some clearly explain the aspect of bliss, but the realization of emptiness is not so clear; some clearly explain the realization of emptiness, but the aspect of bliss is not so clear. In these cases, one should also take the union of both bliss and emptiness as the main point, and not be mistaken into thinking that only one is needed. The talk of the inseparability of bliss and emptiness is as well-known as the wind, but to understand the great bliss that distinguishes the various blisses, the ultimate emptiness that distinguishes the various emptinesses, and the method of union, is very difficult. Saraha said: "Every household speaks of it, but no one fully understands the state of great bliss." Therefore, one should not be easily satisfied with a little knowledge, but should strive for a long time to understand this meaning that is more secret than secrets. Many commentaries on the yogini tantras explain the previously mentioned inseparability of bliss and emptiness as the union of bliss and emptiness and the union of the two truths. Although there are also explanations of the union of the ultimate truth as it, the lineage of Nagarjuna does not regard the previously mentioned innate inseparability of bliss and emptiness as union. So, how does it do it? In the mind of enlightenment, there are two kinds of mind of enlightenment: the luminous mind of enlightenment and the mind of union. The latter is above union.

In the sixth chapter of the six dharmas, it is said in the "Lamp Illuminating the Meaning" spoken by the equal application of skillful means and wisdom, that skillful means are the conventional truth, and wisdom is the ultimate truth, and the combination of the two is the union. As for the reality of the ultimate truth, although it is the dharma nature of all dharmas, which is unconditioned, here, the clear light wisdom in which it and great bliss are integrated is also called the ultimate truth, without distinguishing between the object and the subject, and there are many elaborations on this. For such innate wisdom of meaning, there is also the case where the clear light of meaning exists alone, and the clear light in the case of union. The first is the manifestation of enlightenment described in the fourth stage of the five stages, which is the stage of the clear light of the stages. The second is the fifth stage, which is one of the stages of union. Therefore, the innate meaning of bliss and emptiness inseparable described in other texts is only the ultimate of the clear light that the two have in the explanation of the four modes and six extremes. But above that, there is the ultimate of union, so it has not yet reached there. Since the conventional truth described in other texts is different from the conventional truth described here, the conventional truth described here is the completely pure illusory body adorned with marks and signs, formed from the wind, light, and five lights of wisdom that have become the mount, which merges into one with the wisdom of emptiness. Such clear light wisdom is ཨེ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, Chinese literal meaning), and the completely pure illusory body is the meaning of the letter ཝ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, Chinese literal meaning), which should be combined inseparably. The way to combine is that the former is combined with the mind, and the latter with the body, and the two are integrated, which is the meaning of the bindu. It is also said in the Chakrasamvara Root Tantra: "Thus the nature increases the wheel, like the sky, emptiness is like that. Selflessness and suchness, various means and the power of compassion, union non-duality spontaneously accomplished, the essence of the mandala is supreme." What is said about suchness, emptiness, and selflessness is the innate wisdom that becomes one with them. The power of skillful means and compassion is the wheel of the mandala, the illusory body that appears as Heruka father and mother. Among them, it is said: Dakini Heruka is wisdom, analyze its differences.
