Adorned with the four-faced head of Brahma, and having a hair knot marked with various vajras. Each head is adorned with a garland of five dry skulls strung together at the top and bottom with a string of black vajras. A slightly tilted crescent moon hangs on the left side of the head. The face is ever-changing, with four fangs bared and terrifying. Possessing the three states of grace, valor, and ugliness in the body; and the three states of roaring, violence, and terror in speech; and the three states of compassion, majesty, and peace in mind, thus possessing nine states. Wearing a tiger skin loincloth, and a garland of fifty wet human heads strung on human intestines hanging from the neck to the slender and thick thighs. Sealed with six mudras, namely the jewel on the crown of the head, the necklace, the bracelets, the earrings, the offering, and the great ashes. It is said that the four in between are made of human bones. The virtuous friend Vīryapāla says that the wheel and the waistband, etc., are also adorned as close mudras. The whole body is smeared with human bone ashes. The way to focus on one point the meaning of the pure explanations of the hand symbols and ornaments of Heruka is as follows: The embrace of the father and mother symbolizes the embrace of skillful means and wisdom. Among them, the essential points of the body, such as union with the mother, through special skillful means, the melting of the moon-like bodhicitta from the head, and the great bliss of skillful means arising from the distinction in the whole body, symbolize the need to meditate on the meaning of the four liberations of wisdom and emptiness. And that bliss is the meaning symbolized by the khaṭvāṅga and the skull cup. And those two are also the five wisdoms symbolized by the vajra and the bell, and the meaning of the Prajñāpāramitā and the skillful wisdom of the āli-kāli. Its function is to purify desire and so on, to break through ignorance, to urge all Buddhas, to cut off the faults of the three doors and the conceptual thoughts of clinging to extremes, to pierce the afflictions, and to bind the correct wisdom, to suppress the extreme of existence in the eternal cycle of existence and the extreme of non-existence in the annihilation of nirvana, and to subdue all beings by realizing emptiness. The result of acting in this way is
