Her hair is scattered loosely down her back, and her chin is adorned with a belt of skull fragments. Her left hand embraces her father from the neck, holding a skull cup filled with the blood and entrails of the four vicious maras, etc. Her right hand threatens all vicious beings, the enemies of the ten directions, with a threatening gesture (tarjanī mudrā) together with a vajra. Through the principle of emptiness, she equally realizes that beings are unobtainable, and she possesses the light of pristine awareness that is utterly pure like the fire at the end of an eon, and therefore she is greatly majestic. Therefore, she possesses the light of a solar mandala. She delights in blood and possesses menstruation, therefore she bleeds. Her two feet are well entwined upon the thighs of her father. Although she abides in the great bliss of the nature of insight (vipassanā), she acts for the sake of beings, and therefore she is the essence of compassion. The mother is also adorned with five seals, except for ashes, namely, bracelets, two kinds of anklets and bracelets, armlets, and a wheel, as well as a garland of five dry human heads, and a necklace of fifty dry ones, etc., which should also be known. Here, in the commentary of Lawapa, it says: 'Slightly wild and completely embracing, nakedness itself and hair unbound, hair standing on end, generating bliss, these five signs are external.' 'Three signs are actually spoken of, therefore two signs are known through understanding, the goddesses abiding in the five chakras, abide truly with the five signs.' The three signs that are spoken of, for the chief goddess and the twenty-four yoginīs, are embracing, nakedness, and unbound hair. For the remaining goddesses, there are three, with slightly wild in place of embracing, and embracing is understood through implication. This also shows that the twelve goddesses make the gesture of embracing by holding the knife and skull cup in their hearts. Secondly, from which tantra is this explanation of the father and mother spoken? In the root tantra it is spoken of in secret, therefore it is not clear. In the explanatory tantra, the Compendium of Practices (Kunspyod), it says: 'The two hands truly embrace, the two grasp the elephant hide, battle-axe, trident, curved knife, the ḍāmaru is brandished by the right hand, khaṭvāṅga and skull blood, lasso and head are brandished, it is truly spoken of in the left hand.' The color of the father's body and the number of faces are not mentioned, the hand implements in order

Even if it is not described exactly as it is, it is okay to do it like Luipa without mentioning the specific order of hands and hand symbols. In the seventh chapter of the Lexicon, except for "embracing the Vajravarahi of vows with both hands," the number of faces, their color, body color, remaining hand symbols, and hair are described in this way. The sixth right hand holds a vajra spear, but it is not said to be three-pronged, which is not contradictory. The sixth left hand is said to hold the heads of the four maras, which may indicate the four-faced head of Brahma, but it remains to be examined. The consort is the Dombini, and except for the curved knife in her right hand, everything is in accordance with the practice. The consort's right hand holding the vajra is mentioned many times in the Lexicon. Therefore, it is necessary to know from which tantra the Ghantapada's statement of four faces and twelve arms is derived. The explanation of four faces as four liberations, etc., is found in Lavapa's commentary, which says, "Applying ashes to the entire body symbolizes the pervasion of bodhicitta throughout the entire body." Therefore, other forms should also symbolize the four liberations, etc., through their respective bodily manifestations. The yab embracing the yum, and the yum embracing the yab, is the mutual embrace of skillful means and wisdom. Its symbolic meaning is the realization of emptiness and selflessness. Adding the sound nga after the ka of the Sanskrit word karuṇā for compassion is to prevent happiness and ruṇa, indicating that by implying the prevention of changing and leaking happiness, it shows the great bliss that is unchanging and non-leaking, as stated in the Kalachakra, or as stated by Padmasambhava, maha kam is great bliss, and ruṇa is gathering, which is also innate bliss. Therefore, although there are generally two types of compassion, in this case, it should not be explained as wishing sentient beings to be free from suffering, but rather as innate great bliss. As stated in the Lexicon, "Great bliss is the nature of compassion." Luipa also said the same. This is the meaning of uniting the two as inseparable. The object is emptiness, and it is necessary to meditate with the innate bliss that is different from other objects. To show this, the yab and yum are made to embrace each other, which is the path of this
