The syllable ru is the nature of dependent origination; it is free from the imputation of a self. Furthermore, the syllable ka is all-encompassing, the non-dual knowledge that I know. Because it does not abide in anything, it is called ka. Thus it is said. Its meaning is that he is the selflessness of phenomena, and ru is the selflessness of persons, the two selflessnesses of objects. Ka is the wisdom of the object-possessor, and śrī shows that these two are inseparable. Among these, entering one's own mandala as Heruka and so forth is generation. Generating the mandala of the holder and so forth from the source of all meditators such as Heruka is the mind that constantly dwells in one's own heart, which is he. Because the cause is empty by being established by its own nature, therefore the nature of the cause cannot be examined, which is the meaning of abandoning the cause or the emptiness of the cause. Although the word "etc." does not appear here, it is like appearing many times from other places, referring to the self and the fruit, both of which are without self-nature, or the word "etc." also includes the first meaning, so it is the emptiness of the cause of the first arising. According to the first, it pervades all phenomena of aggregates and sense bases, and according to the second, it is like the Root Wisdom Treatise says: "If the conditioned is not established, how is the unconditioned established?" With such reasoning, all phenomena of the conditioned and unconditioned are established as without self-nature. The object is the conceptual thought that focuses on the person and grasps at self, which is truly established by the great net that binds samsara, that is, being free from the imputation of a fabricated self, is the meaning of the syllable ru. Such a state of the object, and the way of holding that very reality, the knowledge that is inseparable, is the meaning of the syllable ka, because the wisdom that enters into reality does not abide in any object of truth, therefore it is so. In this way, there is not even a little bit of ease established in any object, and likewise, the wisdom also abandons the object of clinging to reality, the two merge into non-dual wisdom like water into water, is the meaning of the syllable śrī, which is the meaning of e-vaṃ, the inseparability of skillful means and wisdom. In this way, meditating on the meaning of the four syllables, which is said before purifying the body by visualizing oneself as the deity, is the same meaning as meditating on the meaning of the mantra of emptiness-wisdom-vajra as said in other scriptures, he and

The meaning of RU is shunyata (Tibetan: ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ, Sanskrit Devanagari: शून्यता, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: shunyata, literal Chinese meaning: emptiness), the meaning of KA is jnana (Tibetan: ཛྙཱ་ན, Sanskrit Devanagari: ज्ञान, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: jnana, literal Chinese meaning: wisdom), and the meaning of SHRI is vajra (Tibetan: བཛྲ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्र, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: vajra, literal Chinese meaning: vajra), which means indestructible like a vajra. Therefore, in "Dispelling Errors," it says, "Manifest the meaning of the four syllables, and at once, from emptiness, abandon the pride of an ordinary person, and with the vow of wisdom and mother, with the pride of two hands." Saying this is good. But some people first seek purity of the body, and then seek purity of speech and mind, which is not a good understanding of its meaning. Therefore, the order should be as stated in the three commentaries and "Dispelling Errors." The necessity of remembering the meaning of the four syllables is to purify the mind from the defilement of dualistic conceptualizations. Then comes the yoga of purifying the body: From emptiness, visualize yourself as Heruka, with a blue body, one face, and two arms holding a vajra and bell, sitting with the right leg extended. With a compassionate mind to benefit all sentient beings, recite three times "SHRI HERUKO'HAM (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning: Auspicious Heruka I)". Lāva's commentary says there is a consort, Prajñārakṣita's commentary says there is a choice of having or not having a consort, while "Dispelling Errors" and "Clarifying the Difference" say there is a consort. Some Tibetan lamas only practice the single father aspect, but in Lāva's view, having a consort completes it, which should be well understood. Adding AHAM (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning: I) after the four syllables is because the co-emergent mind that enters emptiness, abiding in the meaning of the four syllables, manifests as the form of two hands. The previous one was just the wisdom of emptiness, while here it is the manifestation as the form of Heruka, which is a collection of the two. The other two commentaries say that for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings, one should hold the pride that includes the four syllables. If, as stated in "Clarifying the Difference," one recites the pride three times with a mind to benefit all sentient beings, it will be peaceful. When previously remembering the meaning of the four syllables, none of the commentaries added OM (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning: Om) at the beginning or AHAM (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning: I) at the end. The necessity of purifying the body is, as stated in the scriptures, to purify all actions of the body, that is, to purify the actions of an ordinary person's body. All beings are also accomplished from beginningless time, and also symbolize the naturally pure form of Heruka. What is said is the "Clarifying the Difference".
