Practicing various skills such as jumping and walking. Training in transcendence of the world involves: Visualizing pure Buddhafields such as Sukhavati (Tibetan: བདེ་བ་ཅན་), Abhirati (Tibetan: མངོན་དགའ་), and Akanishta (Tibetan: འོག་མིན་), seeing the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing there, making offerings, listening to the Dharma, and so on, generating aspiration, and practicing these. If these are seized by the power of wind in dreams, then by the key of mastering the winds, most of the desires can be easily fulfilled. If such abilities have not been attained, then much practice is needed. Seeing pure realms and beings through these two methods is merely the appearance of some things that resemble them, and it is difficult to consider it as truly seeing them. Regarding prophecies, some prophecies about the future may seem true, but most are uncertain. If it is the former, it seems that there are ways to avoid mistakes by relying on some other key points of virtuous practice in dreams and some key points of mastering the winds. Proliferation is the emanation of beings such as humans and animals, and non-sentient things such as pillars and vases, from one or two, two or four, up to hundreds and thousands. Third, abandoning fear and training in illusion, where abandoning fear means: when fearful or disturbing things such as fire and water occur in a dream, recognizing them as a dream, and thinking, "How could fire and water in a dream cause harm?" Then, make offerings and perform acts of crossing over. The way to train in illusion is that although vases and cloths appear in dreams, realizing that their nature is emptiness occurs when one recognizes the dream as a dream. However, this alone does not mean that one realizes the nature of the dream as empty. For example, just as the image of a face appearing in a mirror when awake, although one realizes it is empty, one does not realize the suchness of the image. Therefore, being confused in a dream without recognizing it as a dream is like a young child believing that the image of a face is the real face. Recognizing a dream as a dream is like an old person who is skilled in metaphors, although it appears as a face, knowing that it is empty of a face. Using the example of the image of a face being empty of a face, other dharmas

Just as one knows that the earth is also without inherent existence established by its own nature. Taking the example of knowing a dream as a dream, one should definitely ascertain that all other phenomena are also the same, without the slightest bit of true establishment. One should know well how truth-grasping grasps, and one must also know the correct reasons why what it grasps does not exist as it grasps it. Having understood this, one trains in all the contents of dreams appearing as the two mandalas. One trains in those appearances also appearing as illusions that appear there while being empty of establishment by their own nature. One should view all of these as the play of bliss and emptiness, just as in the waking state. Fourth, meditating on the suchness of dreams is to unite with clear light. That is, one visualizes oneself clearly as the deity, and from the syllable Hūṃ (藏文,हूँ,hūṃ,吽) at one's heart, light radiates, gathering all the contents of the dream into the syllable Hūṃ (藏文,हूँ,hūṃ,吽). One also gathers oneself into Hūṃ (藏文,हूँ,hūṃ,吽) gradually from the upper and lower parts of the body, and then places the syllable Hūṃ (藏文,हूँ,hūṃ,吽) without any object of focus into clear light, holding the mind without wavering. Furthermore, between the appearance of the mind in the waking state and the appearance of the mind in the dream state, it is much easier to gather the latter. Because of the key point that some very coarse winds have dissolved at that time, the winds gather again in the heart, and one goes to sleep without the appearance of dreams. At that time, one can ascertain the emptiness of sleep somewhat. Even if one cannot ascertain it a few times, when one becomes accustomed to it, one will be able to clearly ascertain the emptiness of sleep. If one becomes somewhat stable in that process of gathering and emptiness, it will also be helpful in practicing wind exercises during the day. Even if one does not grasp the emptiness of sleep at night from the moment one first goes to sleep, one will be able to grasp it in a special way by doing as before after grasping the dream. Third, there are two ways to meditate on the illusory body of the bardo: a general explanation of the characteristics of the bardo, and an explanation of the stages of practice. The first is that the cessation of the dying consciousness at the time of death and the establishment of the bardo occur like the rise and fall of a balance scale. It is also complete with all faculties, has the form of the body that will be born, and possesses the power of miraculous activity of karma.
