If you ascertain and protect it, look at what appears in the mirror in front of the deity statue, then remember it, integrate it into yourself, and meditate as if you yourself are an illusory deity. This is already accomplished on the basis of the previous one. Because the previous (practice) is powerful, the latter part is small. In the Five Stages, just as Vajrasattva drawn on a mirror appears, it means to show the illusory body. The master arranges these two as examples and meanings, and the student does not understand it as teaching with words, but understands it as pointing with the eyes. In order to clarify the generation stage, in a specially built room, many other objects are also gathered, and one practices while looking at the images appearing in the mirror, etc. It seems that a form has emerged that mixes the styles of both the Marpa and Goktsangpa traditions. The meaning of all phenomena being spoken of as like illusions and dreams is twofold: speaking of ultimate truth as like an illusion, it is established merely by existing, but it is taken as a negation of truth; and the appearance that appears in emptiness is like an illusion. Here, it refers to the latter. For this, because there is the meaning of appearing there and appearing as such, two emptinesses are needed. Like a rabbit's horn and a barren woman's son, even the mere appearance is completely non-existent, and even if it appears, because there is the meaning of appearing as such, even if it does not appear as emptiness, the meaning of the illusory appearance will not arise in the mind. Therefore, like the example of illusion, the way to understand other phenomena is: for example, the illusion conjured by an illusionist, although it is empty of horses and cattle from the beginning, the appearance as horses and cattle cannot be denied. Similarly, phenomena such as persons are also empty from the place, from the nature of being established by their own essence, from the beginning, but the appearance of being established there cannot be denied. Therefore, appearing as gods and humans, etc., is a person, and appearing as forms, sounds, etc., is a phenomenon. Persons and phenomena do not have a nature established by their own essence, not even a particle, but all the interdependent actions such as accumulating karma, and seeing and hearing, etc., are reasonable. Because all actions are reasonable, it is not annihilationism. Phenomena are empty in this way from the beginning, it is only a matter of knowing that they are empty, so it is not an artificial emptiness either, all knowable things

Therefore, since what is desired is not merely a temporary emptiness, practicing it also becomes an antidote to all clinging to reality. It is not that any mind cannot be the object of the profound meaning, but it can be the object through the correct view being determined, and through the practice of practicing the correct meaning. Therefore, it cannot be practiced at the time of the path, Nor is it an emptiness without anything to be known or realized. In short, for the person who is the basis of clinging to "I," through thinking about whether the aggregates and self-nature are one or different, one must firmly establish the certainty that the person has no self-nature at all. Then, apply similar views extensively to the aspect of emptiness. After that, allow the appearances of the person's designation, which cannot be denied, to arise in the object of the mind, and remember the aspects of dependent arising from which they are established as accumulators and experiencers of results, and gain certainty about the reasons why dependent arising is reasonable without self-nature. When these two appear contradictory, take images and the like as examples, and think about the way they are not contradictory. For example, the image of a face, although empty of where eyes, nose, etc. appear, arises in dependence on the face and the mirror, and the destruction when some of those conditions disappear, these two undeniably combine on the same basis. Similarly, for a person, even if there is not a particle of self-nature, it is not contradictory to be an accumulator of karma and an experiencer of results, and to arise in dependence on previous karma and afflictions, etc. Practice in this way. When certainty is firmly established about this, one should train in seeing the container world as a palace and the contents as gods and goddesses. And also, one should train in seeing them as the manifestation of indivisible bliss and emptiness. In this way, whatever appears is the deity's form, The deity's form is illusion, illusion is the three levels of knowable things that arise as the taste of great bliss. Again, when great bliss is attained in equipoise, one should remember the view that has a good understanding of emptiness, and focus on it with one-pointedness, generating non-conceptual wisdom. In this way, alternate between meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment. Second, there are four ways to meditate on dreams as illusion: 1. Taking dreams; 2. Purifying and increasing; 3. Abandoning fear and practicing illusion; 4. Meditating on the suchness of dreams. First, there are two ways to take dreams: by the power of wind.
