The non-arising of appearance seems to need to be well understood by relying on the Condensed Father Tantra Among them, from the root verses of the Five Stages of the Marpa tradition, "A Clear Mirror of the Condensed Meaning of the Five Stages," it says: "The first is like the experience of a mirage, accompanied by five rays of light that arise. The second is like the appearance of the moon, and the third is intertwined with the light of the sun, which is obtained from the appearance of the boundary." It also says: "The illusory body is accompanied by appearance, arising only from wind and mind." Like the appearance of moonlight in a cloudless sky, and the increase like the intertwining of sunlight in that sky, and the three near attainments like the darkness covering that sky at dusk. First is arising, and then the saying that the illusory body with light arises only from the wind and mind of mental isolation, whatever the classification of all these, if it does not appear in the instructions of this section, but takes one's own body as an example of an image, merely stopping the gross thoughts of attachment and aversion that depend on liking and disliking as an impure illusory body, and again meditating on one's own deity body as illusory, merely cultivating liking and disliking into equal taste as a pure illusory body, if there is only this and no other difference, then it seems that even the rough differences between the general meaning of illusion in Highest Yoga Tantra and other common paths, and the hidden meaning of illusion of the illusory body of the third stage of the Highest Yoga Tantra system, and the illusory bodies of the fifth stage of union, cannot be distinguished. Because the actual illusory body here is the unique completion stage of Highest Yoga Tantra, and for the illusory body that was first established as mentioned earlier, it seems that even the definition of the general meaning of illusion is not complete, and if it is considered the second, then many also appear in the lower three tantras. For suppressing the thoughts of attachment and aversion and cultivating equal taste, the main thing is to combine the emptiness of the definitive Middle Way view and the co-emergent great bliss, and to practice in equipoise. If you understand and cultivate it well, then after rising from that equipoise, by the power of equipoise, everything that appears will appear as illusion, and from the time of the first stage, in the subsequent stage, by the key point of the habit of taking the path of transforming everything that appears into the mandala of deities, the deity body appears but its nature is not.

Even without separate study, it will naturally arise there. In some of the Marpa tradition's gathering offering instructions, it is said that looking at the reflection appearing in the mirror hung in front of the image of the deity, and observing whether oneself can appear like the deity in the reflection, this is an instruction to enhance the clarity of the deity during the generation stage. In the instructions of Lama Tsur, it is said that initially, during the secret empowerment, the image of Vajrasattva in the mirror is recognized as an illusory body without inherent existence. These are quoted here. It seems that the words of a certain Five Stages treatise have been copied verbatim and applied here. However, these have already been explained in detail in the instructions of the Noble Dharma. However, the way in which the key points of the illusory body are not severed in the initial instructions of the Marpa tradition has also been explained in detail there. Furthermore, in these instructions, there are cases where union is divided into two types, learning and non-learning, and the classification of appearance, increase, attainment, and the four lights is explained. However, merely relying on special wind-mind, how to practice the illusory body, and on the basis of accomplishing the illusory body, how to enter the true light, the way in which the four emptinesses such as appearance and increase arise, after accomplishing the true light, how to practice the union of learning, and on this basis, how to practice the union of non-learning, when grasping the light of sleep, relying on the ability to integrate the life force into the dhuti nadi when awake, integrating the life force into the dhuti nadi of the heart, the way of entering the light by gradually integrating the tummo wind into the four emptinesses, and the way in which the deity's image of the dream illusory body ultimately arises, although it seems that it will happen, there seems to be no doubt about what has not happened. Therefore, grasping the light of sleep by the power of the wind integrated into the life force nadi, and with a samadhi common to both the Great and Small Vehicles, which has a stable abiding aspect when awake, when falling asleep, abiding in the previous samadhi, no matter how long one sleeps, or only at the beginning of falling asleep, the samadhi will arise fiercely, and there does not seem to be a clear distinction for the situations where it is easy to mistake this samadhi for the light of sleep. Similarly, dreams are disturbed by the power of the wind.
