It is for the purpose of generating the co-emergent wisdom. In order to generate it, the bodhicitta melts and descends, generally reaching below the navel, and especially reaching the jewel place, without moving outwards, remaining there for a while. If this is not the case, the co-emergent wisdom with complete characteristics will not arise. To establish the co-emergent completion stage as great bliss, it is necessary to have a state where the winds are absorbed. If it is because the winds are absorbed into the central channel, the bodhicitta melts, even if the tip of the jewel place is held, it will not move outwards until the co-emergent wisdom with complete characteristics arises. Because when the bodhicitta descends from the crown of the head, the movement of the winds gradually weakens, and when it reaches the jewel place, the entry of the winds that cause the bodhicitta to move outwards subsides. For some people who do not easily gather the winds, but easily generate melting experiences, if they meditate on blazing and dripping, the melting of the bodhicitta will descend quickly. For this situation, if the melting portion is small, if it does not return from a high place, it is very difficult to return from a low place, and the place of return must also be high. Even after returning, if it is not distributed, it will turn into a disease, so it needs to be distributed. However, for the situation where the winds are absorbed as mentioned before, all these are not needed at all. So, if the melting is easy and abundant without the gradual occurrence of wind absorption, how should one return and distribute it? For this situation, if the melting comes gradually and slowly, do not exert too much effort, but use focus to return it to the crown of the head, and then distribute it to all the chakra places. After becoming accustomed to this, even a large melting can be returned and distributed. If it is not like this, and the melting descends very quickly, then in the state of visualizing oneself as the deity, sit in the vajra posture, cross both hands in front of the chest, and turn both eyes upwards forcefully. The fingers of the feet and hands should be well curled up. Focus the mind on the upward-pointing ཧཾ་ (Tibetan: ཧཾ, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) syllable at the crown of the head. Vigorously recite a long ཧཱུཾ་ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Devanagari: हूं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) syllable about twenty-one times, and from the place of return, visualize it going to the crown of the head from within the central channel on the side close to the back. Finally, hold the gentle vase breath and shake the body gently, and repeatedly visualize the bodhicitta spreading to all the chakra places with the mind. Third, the method of meditating on the co-emergent wisdom is as mentioned before.

When it descends, when the bodhicitta reaches the tip of the jewel, and when it abides without falling back, since the innate joy arises, at that time, remembering the view that was previously established, placing it on the view, cultivate the indivisibility of bliss and emptiness. Even if there is no good understanding of the view, abandon the scattering and gathering of the mind, and abide in that very bliss itself, cultivating as much as possible. Similarly, when the bodhicitta seizes the jewel and returns upwards, when it reaches the crown of the head, the innate wisdom of the lower stability arises, and at that time, also recognize that, cultivate the indivisibility of bliss and emptiness, or, as previously said, cultivate as much as possible the non-conceptuality of bliss itself. These are the methods of cultivation in meditative equipoise. The method of cultivation in post-meditation is: In general, when innate joy arises, when one arises from that, naturally the appearance of objects will also appear as bliss, but that alone is not enough. In the post-meditation period, remembering the bliss and emptiness of meditative equipoise, seal all the appearances of objects that arise with it, and then cultivate, it will become a particularly blazing bliss, so cultivate in that way. This instruction is not clear in other instructions, but there are many in the instructions of Marpa that have been transmitted from Ngokpa, and it is the meaning of many tantras such as Hevajra, so it is very important not to interrupt it. Thus, cultivate in meditative equipoise and post-meditation, and again do the visualization of tummo and the practice of wind, alternatingly guiding the four joys. Second, the method of cultivating by relying on the external cause, the karmamudra, is: both oneself and the karmamudra are people of excellent faculties, having received pure empowerment, being skilled in the root and branch vows, and protecting them as they are, being skilled in the method of the mandala wheel, having become well-versed through four sessions of cultivation, being skilled in the sixty-four arts that appear from the treatises of joy, having thoroughly cut through the view of emptiness, being skilled in the order of the four joys, especially being skilled in the boundary of the arising of innate wisdom, and being able to hold the bodhicitta without falling back, etc., are done by someone who possesses the characteristics spoken of in the tantras and the root treatises of the great accomplished ones. As it is said
