In terms of practice, from the perspective of merit, it is for the swift accomplishment of siddhis. In this way, generate unwavering faith in the Lama, remember the kindness of the Lama, and cultivate great reverence extensively. Secondly, from the Five Stages: "Having abandoned all offerings, one should truly make offerings to the Lama. By pleasing him, one will attain the supreme wisdom of omniscience. The supreme practitioner, having revered the Vajrasattva of the teacher, what merit has he not accumulated? What asceticism has he not practiced?" As it is said, among all offerings, one should take the offering to the Lama as paramount, generate strong conviction in this, and make offerings to the Lama. Furthermore, in the eighth chapter of the Root Tantra, it says, "Offerings to the Lama should be made with inner and outer offerings, such as filling this field with the seven precious substances." Therefore, one should act accordingly. The offering of the mandala is as follows: On a mandala plate smeared with earth or precious substances, smear water mixed with fragrant incense and the five elixirs, and recite "Om Vajra Bhumi Ah Hum (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་བྷཱུ་མི་ཨཱཿཧཱུཾ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:om vajra bhūmi āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Om, Vajra, Earth, Ah, Hum)", representing the great golden ground; recite "Om Vajra Re Ge Ah Hum Om, Vajra, Re, Ge, Ah, Hum)", representing the iron fence; place a cluster of flowers soaked in the five elixirs mixed with fragrant incense in the center; recite "Om Hum Suma Dhe Mai Rave Nama Om, Hum, Suma, Dhe, Mai, Rave, Nama)", representing Mount Meru in the center; place flowers in the east, reciting "Om Yam Purva Videha Ya Nama Om, Yam, East, Videha, Ya, Nama)", representing Purvavideha in the east; place in the south, reciting "Om Ram Jambudvipa Ya Nama Om, Ram, Jambudvipa, Ya, Nama)", representing Jambudvipa in the south; place in the west, reciting "Om Lam Aparagodaniya Nama Om, Lam, Aparagodaniya, Nama)", representing Aparagodaniya in the west; place in the north, reciting "Om Vam Uttarakurava Nama Om, Vam, Uttarakurava, Nama)", representing Uttarakuru in the north; place on the right and left sides of the east, reciting "Om Yam Upadvipa Ya Nama Om, Yam, Subcontinent, Ya, Nama)" twice, representing Deha and Videha; place on the right and left sides of the south, reciting "Om Ram Upadvipa Ya Nama Om, Ram, Subcontinent, Ya, Nama)" twice, representing Camara and Aparacamara; place on the right and left sides of the west, reciting "Om Lam Upadvipa Ya Nama Om, Lam, Subcontinent, Ya, Nama)" twice, representing Satha and Uttaramantrina; place on the right and left sides of the north, reciting "Om Vam Upadvipa Ya Nama (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཝཾ་ཨུ་པ་དྭཱི་པཱ་ཡ་ནཱ་མ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vaṃ upadvīpa ya nāma,汉语字面意思:Om, Vam, Subcontinent, Ya, Nama)" twice, representing Kurava and Kaurava. Please accept them with compassion and bless me. After reciting this, offer it to the Guru. Make offerings with flowers and other outer and inner nectar offerings, as well as secret offerings. Praise with praises, and take the common and special vows before the Guru. Then, with great reverence, pray that the common and uncommon paths may quickly arise in the mindstream, that their obstacles may be pacified, and that their favorable conditions may be accomplished as desired. Pleased by this, white, red, and blue rays of light emanate sequentially from the letters at the three places of the Guru and enter one's own three places sequentially. The inside of the body is completely filled with the three rays of light sequentially. The defilements of the three doors are purified. One receives the vase empowerment, the secret empowerment, and the wisdom-knowledge empowerment sequentially. One contemplates receiving the accomplishments of the three vajras, such as the body vajra, sequentially. Then, from all the places of the body, various rays of light emanate and enter through all the doors of one's own body, purifying the subtle obscurations of the three doors and the obscurations of knowledge. One receives the fourth empowerment, and contemplates receiving the accomplishment of the indivisibility of the three vajras. The three letters are the three vajras.
