The oral instructions for the five stages of the completion stage of the glorious Guhyasamaja, the king of tantras, the complete seat. The oral instructions for the five stages of the completion stage of the glorious Guhyasamaja, the king of tantras, the complete seat. The oral instructions for the five stages of the completion stage of the glorious Guhyasamaja, the king of tantras, the complete seat are complete. To the venerable and supreme masters, who possess great compassion without objectification, and who are non-dual with the venerable Manjushri, and to the lotus feet of the noble Nagarjuna and his spiritual sons, who have attained the ground of Vajradhara, along with their lineage, I prostrate with great reverence at all times and seek refuge. I beseech you to embrace me with great love in all lifetimes. Regarding the stages of entering the path that has been well established by the noble fathers and sons after realizing the meaning of the tantras, which is the meaning of the root tantra of the glorious Guhyasamaja, the king of tantras, explained by the six great explanatory tantras: First, the manner of training in the intention of the Buddha's vehicle. By training in the common stages of the path of the two great vehicles, one makes oneself a suitable vessel for all empowerments. Then, by means of the four pure empowerments, one makes oneself a suitable vessel for listening to and meditating on the two stages of the path. Having thus become a suitable vessel, one takes ownership of the vows and commitments one has made. Then, one first trains in the yoga of coarse one-pointedness of mind through the stages of the four sessions. Having become accustomed to this, how does one train in the yoga of subtle analysis? The meaning of the four types of sadhana of the fathers and sons. The stages of samadhi for beginners should be practiced as explained elsewhere. Having thus well established oneself in the generation stage, the ultimate secret instructions of the great accomplished ones for training in the second stage, the completion stage, are: the five stages and the Compendium of Conduct, as well as one aspect of the arrangement and the Differentiation of the Limits of Actions, as well as the six-limbed union of the Tantric Commentary, as well as those who composed the explanation of the five stages of the completion stage. Even so, since these texts are very profound, future disciples will not be able to fully grasp the essential points of the instructions unless they have the oral instructions of a supreme guru that are clearer than these. Therefore, the oral instructions of the great translators who have relied on many Indian scholars and listened well are extremely important.

In this regard, the two lineages of Jetsun Marpa and Jetsun Ngok are supremely excellent. To properly examine the instructions of this, and to compare them with the treatises of the tantras and the collections of sacred teachings, and thereby generate certainty, one needs the explanations of the instructions transmitted from Jetsun Ngok. Not only to grasp directly from the treatises, but also to clarify the many meanings contained within them. In order for present-day individuals to gain certainty through many special stages of practice, one needs the instructions of Jetsun Marpa. Most of Jetsun Marpa's instructions have a root verse from an Indian treatise. The root verses of the instructions on the Five Stages are clearly the "Condensed Essence of the Five Stages." If there are other excuses, it is greatly contradictory to the summary of conduct, and therefore not pure. At the end of the "Condensed Essence of the Five Stages": The glorious Guhyasamaja Tantra, The noble father and sons explained in order, Naropa found that very intention, Because the commentator does not know, He only explains the condensed meaning of the tantra, This blessing path is not common. The words that satirize the Lamp Illuminating Wisdom appear to have been inserted by someone who wanted to praise Naropa but did not know how to praise him, because in the commentary on the later tantra, Naropa says: This explanation of the meaning of the later tantra, Following the Lamp Illuminating Wisdom, Is the explanation of the Nagarjuna's instructions. And: The teacher Nagarjuna, Aryadeva, The Bodhisattva of the Nagas, the friend of Shakya, Relying on the lineage of instructions of Chandrakirti and others, I have done this. Therefore. Jetsun Marpa went to India three times and to Poran four times. In eastern and western India, Kashmir, Nepal, and other places, he relied on a total of one hundred and eight learned and yogi gurus in general, especially fifty-eight who were certain to hold the lineage, thirteen who were certain to transform appearances, and three who were the main ones. In particular, he relied on seven gurus who were learned in the Guhyasamaja Arya system and the Jnana Pada system. Among the gurus, the most excellent was the glorious Naropa. Relying on four particularly excellent tantras, he gave four special instructions from among the appearances. Among them, relying on the glorious Guhyasamaja, he gave the instruction to meditate on the completion of the Five Stages in one sitting, which is the instruction that leads as it appears in the "Condensed Essence of the Five Stages."
