There are two kinds of bodies: the temporary body and the inherent body. The first is the coarse material body, etc., which arises from maturation, other than the body of wind and mind alone. The second is the body composed of wind and mind alone. Although the coarse body does not arise at the time of first conception in the womb, etc., it is not that there is no sentient being's body; similarly, although the coarse material body is abandoned at the time of death, the sentient being's body does not cease, so it is not the inherent body, like heat in water. The body of wind and mind does not cease in any of these circumstances, so it is the inherent body, like moisture in water. Even now, when the coarse physical body exists, the inherent body is only the body of wind and mind, so the coarse body is like its dwelling. Although there are other necessities for saying this, the main purpose is to recognize the inherent body, which is the basis for accomplishing the illusory deity body. Its mind is not sense consciousness, but only a mental consciousness, and the wind is not the other four root winds and five branch winds, but the life-sustaining wind, and even that has two aspects, subtle and coarse, and here it refers to the subtle life-sustaining wind. The sentient being's body with the form of limbs, etc., at the time of the basis, which is composed of just that, is the intermediate state and the body that appears separately in dreams. The body composed of just that, which does not appear in the form of limbs, etc., is as previously explained. Considering that there is such a basis for practice, it is said that even if one abides in one's own body. Now, although there are two supports for present consciousness, the very coarse material body and the subtle wind body, they do not become two continua, and it is not necessary to abandon the position of the coarse body and abide in the subtle body, and although the main basis for designating a person is the two, wind and mind, it is not contradictory for the coarse body to be its support. Etc., should be understood. The second part has three points: explaining how it appears in the treatises of the two, father and son; explaining the method of practice that is very clear and possesses qualities; and explaining how it appears in the instructions of the lamas. The first point is: if the way the basis for accomplishing the illusory body abides in the ground is like that, then how should the basis for practice be generated and practiced in the stage of the path?

If one thinks so, in the "Fivefold Stages," it says, "That itself is fully endowed with wind, the third consciousness again, arises in the body of the yogi, that is called the illusory body. Therefore, all beings are said to be like illusions here, the samadhi of illusion-like abiding, sees everything as the same as that." In the "Cutting Action," it says, "That which is fully endowed with wind, the three consciousnesses again." This is said to be correct. The first verse is from the method of meditating on the inner and outer life force, transforming the consciousness of the mind, which is the basis of practice, into the mind of the three appearances of mind isolation, and the wind that rides on it, both arising in the body of the yogi, which is said to be the illusory body. The term "again" means that the yogi not only takes the body of wind and mind when he first takes birth. Then, the two lines say that the method of accomplishing the illusory body is done in this way, therefore, in this unsurpassed vehicle, all beings are said to be like illusions, in which there is a meaning of illusion that is different from the Paramita Vehicle, the lower tantras, and the generation stage. What is said to be like an illusion, in the "Vajra Dakini Tantra" it says, "Like the image in a mirror, dreams, illusions, bubbles, and those who see the same as eye defects, that is said to be the main one." What is said is similar to what is listed in the "Fivefold Stages." This explains that the meaning of what is said in other unsurpassed tantras must be done as it is said here. Then, the two lines say that the yogi who has accomplished the illusory body sees all sentient beings as the same as himself, as said before, seeing their original bodies in the same way. Seeing all external vessels as the same as one's own illusory body, that is, seeing everything as a manifestation of wind and mind. The way it is said in the "Compendium of Conduct" is: "Knowing one's own mind as it is, that is, the aggregates, elements, and sources are all absent, only the manifestation of wisdom, the body of the deity that is complete with all signs only by manifestation, that is also approximated by twelve metaphors such as illusion and dream, this is
