In all things, fully explained in various ways, the arising of the three secrets is discrimination, and its enjoyment is observation. The touch of joy is the third, and the fourth is that which is encompassed by bliss. The knower and the known arise and cease, and one should know that one's own mind is the fifth. The true peace of all Buddhas completely abides in all desires. Thus it is said. The five desires, such as form and sound, are briefly summarized as being united with the senses, as it is said, that is, the two, sense and object, the sense and object that are gathered together as one. The five Buddhas are the eye and so on, and their union is a true union, and by uniting them as the five Buddhas, therefore form and so on are also Buddhas. As it is said in the Lamp Illuminating, the five Buddhas are the eye and so on, and their union is, it should be so, but the translation is not quite right. The five, the eye and so on, are truly united with the five Buddhas from Vairochana to Akshobhya, so the five, form, sound and so on, are also united with the five families. Thus, the two, sense and object, are Buddhas, and contemplating them as completely pure deities is meditation, and in that there are the five, discrimination and so on. In the explanation of the general characteristics, At this time, explaining that meditating on the sense objects as deities through meditation is only symbolic, and it should also be understood that meditating on the aggregates and so on as deities as in the case of physical isolation, and one should not only cling to meditating on the body of the deity, but also need to meditate on the reality of the deity, which can be known from the time of detailed explanation. The five things desired as the secret nectar are the five aggregates, and each of them has many internal differences, but summarizing them into five and considering them as a brief meaning is not the meaning. The three, sense, object, and the consciousness of sense, are the three secrets, and these three sets of five are the nature of the five families, and such discrimination is discrimination. The three secrets are discrimination, and this saying is better as a translation of substitution and incompleteness, because there is no such meaning in the commentary. The enjoyment of that discrimination, abiding by observing with discrimination on that object is observation. Separating the secret nectar completely and practicing it is observation, as it is said, establishing it as discrimination and observation in the way of detailed separation and non-separation, and these two are also physical isolation that is practiced in the post-meditation state. Thus

During the stage of alternating gathering, one should train in viewing the dharmas of objects, faculties, etc., as aspects of bliss and emptiness. When that is stable, one should train in the samadhi in which the aspects of bliss and emptiness appear as deities. Here, the "Lamp Illuminating Wisdom" states: "Having investigated in this way, by manifestly inclining towards entering suchness, whatever has the characteristic of mental bliss is touching joy. By manifestly entering suchness, whatever bliss is obtained that has the characteristic of physical pliancy, etc., is included by bliss." Joy is mental bliss, bliss is physical pliancy, and the bliss of mental pliancy included by etc., the former is obtained by inclining towards entering suchness, and the latter is said to be obtained by entering suchness. The translation of Patsab says, "While investigating in this way." The translation of Chag says, "After investigating in this way." In the two old and new translations, the meaning of "after investigating in this way" is, having investigated as before with both investigation and analysis, it summarizes the meaning of the former, and entering suchness obtains both joy and bliss, showing the way of obtaining the latter. Entering suchness and inclining towards suchness have the same meaning, and the way of obtaining joy and bliss in that way is, first, when great bliss is obtained by meditating on the subtle of the lower gate, by ascertaining the meaning of suchness and meditating on it, one touches the special mental bliss of realizing emptiness, that is, obtains it, and obtains the bliss of physical and mental pliancy of realizing emptiness. Actual physical pliancy is a special tangible object in which the body has become extremely workable, therefore, it is not that here, but the bliss of pliancy that has become the active dharma that makes the body and mind extremely workable, that is, the co-emergent mental factor corresponding to the previous mental bliss. Having trained or become accustomed to what was said before, in order to reach the ultimate limit as explained below, the exhaustion of the arising of the six consciousnesses, such as eye consciousness, and the six objects of knowledge, such as form, is the emptiness that appears as the mind's grasping and being grasped being far away. Therefore, the characteristic of wisdom, one-pointedness of mind, is called one's own mind. Here, the translation of Chag says, "The nature of all Buddhas is peaceful, all abide in the sky."
