Furthermore, this letter also obtains the title of "accompanied by wind." When it resides in the body, it completes all actions that have been spoken and will be spoken, and enters immortality at the end of death. Then, relying on an ordinary body, it performs all actions as before. The meaning of what was said has been explained. In particular, there are two ways of acting for a yogi. For the generation stage practitioner, the way of acting is: by perfectly combining the three letters, the deity's form is generated. These three letters have color and shape. Placing these three letters in the form of color and shape in the heart, etc., and then performing the recitation of whispered and clear speech, thereby relying on external colors and directions, etc., to accomplish the activities of pacifying, etc. This contains both sound and form. For the completion stage practitioner, the way of acting is: arising from the upper nostrils, through the spontaneously accomplished Vajra recitation, purifying previous karmic obscurations. Through Vajra recitation, in each half-period of the four chakras' wind flow, each of the main activities of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating are accomplished, and in a secondary way, the other three are accomplished, thereby accomplishing the two activities of main and secondary. When both yogis eat and enjoy, through the three letters, in the order of purifying, realizing, and burning, the faults of the food are purified. This also contains both sound and form. Although both internal and external ways have been explained, here the main thing is the three letters of the self-sound of the rising, entering, and abiding of the wind arising from the immortal place in the heart. As it is said in the *Compendium of Conduct*: "If there is no entering into the letter of the inner self-nature speech, then there is no doubt." And each letter is said to arise from the immortal place. Second, the symbol of mantra is the name of the mantra. Among them, there are the snake with A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A) at the beginning and Svaha (Tibetan: སྭཱཧཱ, Devanagari: स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: svāhā, literal Chinese meaning: Svaha) at the end; the tailless with A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A) but without Svaha (Tibetan: སྭཱཧཱ, Devanagari: स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: svāhā, literal Chinese meaning: Svaha); the headless which is the opposite of that; and the collection which has neither, these four. There are also many such as heart mantra, near heart mantra, etc. But here, in the *Meaningful Explanation*, it says: "The symbol abides in the three places of that nature, it is the characteristic of self-nature recitation."

I think so. Therefore, through symbolism, the very nature of wind, arising, entering, and abiding in these three states, abides from the very beginning. This is taught as something to be understood as having the characteristic of self-nature recitation. Therefore, the symbolism of the three inner mantras is the abiding of those three states. The very nature of entering is the symbol of "Ah". Through it, the other two should also be understood. In that tantra it is also said that the symbols of "fast", "complete gathering", and "slow" are also spoken of. Thus, when the mantra to be recited in Vajra recitation is summarized, three letters appear, and when the symbolism of the names of those letters is indicated, it is understood as the letter of the tone of the wind, and the two are combined without distinction. In the Prophecy of Intent, it says, "A single mantra without a mudra will not become a person of mantra." If it is said that the two, mantra and mudra, are not combined, you will not achieve it. Since the hand mudra is not indicated in this gathering, how can it be achieved through mantra alone? As an answer: "Having the three, such as fast, is said to accomplish the mudra." It means that having the fast of the wind rising outward, the gathering of entering inward, and the slow counting of abiding inward, is the accomplishment of the mudra, that is, the binding. Fast, complete gathering, slow, definitely combine with the mantra, the teacher recites with effort in the ear of the disciple. Thus, combining those three with the mantra of the three letters is the combination of mantra and mudra, therefore, it is said to accomplish the great mudra. Therefore, it is indicated that the qualities of all mudra bindings are also gathered here. These answers are like being led into categorization. Again, it is asked, "How should inviting and requesting to descend be properly spoken here?" As an answer: "Fast and entering and abiding, those that combine in sequence, inviting and requesting to descend, these also truly become mudras." Thus it is said. The hand mudra binding is inviting the deity, placing them in a place, and requesting them to descend, which is to urge them for their respective activities. That necessity is accomplished through Vajra recitation. Like this, through the three recitations of entering inward, etc., inviting, requesting to abide, and for the necessity of accomplishing the urging of activities. Third, the meaning of mantra is generally not one.

Even so, here it is necessary to explain the meaning of the mantra of the three syllables of Vajra recitation. Moreover, the usage of the tones of the three syllables has already been explained, so it is not that. So what is it? It is the three, such as the Body Vajra of the Completion Stage. That is what is said in the 'Statement of Intent': 'That is the form of complete transformation, focusing as a deity.' As it is said in the 'Compendium of Practices': 'It is said that the extraction of mantras from this explanatory tantra, as well as the symbols of mantras, the meanings of mantras, and the suchness of mantras, are the four statements, because the tantra speaks of the four: speech, focus, symbols, and ultimate meaning.' This is also because of this. Furthermore, in the second chapter of the Root Tantra, 'Like body and mind,' etc., the way of arising of the illusory body, which combines body, speech, and mind without distinction, is the answer to the question about the way of arising, so those two verses show the arising of the illusory body. Thus, then 'that is' refers to the non-substantial essence, that is, the wind-mind arising from the clear light and imperishable. From that complete transformation, focusing as the form of a deity is the rising from the wind-mind into the Buddha's body. That itself is the illusory body inseparable from the three vajras, and there are two illusory bodies here. The fourth is: Unobstructed, utterly peaceful, Abandoning all distinctions of permanence and annihilation, Not made by the wise ones of the three times, The sign of non-distinction between conceptualization and space, This alone is the ultimate truth, The sign of self-awareness for each individual.
