The Sa-pa (Sakya school's view): According to Je Gö's view, one should first understand the nature of wind, and then understand the nature of mantra. When both of these are well understood through hearing and thinking, then comes the meaning of Vajra recitation. Second: In the Vajra Garland Tantra, it says: "Then the supreme nature of wind, please listen to the profound meaning, if a yogi meditates on wind, he will quickly attain accomplishment." Also, in the Vinaya Source it says: "Not knowing the yoga of wind, or knowing but not meditating, he will be tormented by various sufferings, and become a worm in samsara." Therefore, to understand the yoga of wind and practice it, it is very important to understand the key points of wind well. Not only directly meditating on wind like Vajra recitation, but also meditating by focusing on chakras etc. in the key points of the body, and also to generate the path through external life force operations, one must understand it well. Therefore, know that all completion stage practices that press on the vital points of the body, after understanding well how the wind's magic works, meditating on wind directly or indirectly, is indispensable on this path. Third: Then, how much difference should be determined in the characteristics of wind? In the Buddha Samyoga Tantra and the Wisdom Vajra Samuccaya, it says: "The ten winds are spoken of as ten non-literal meanings such as Koṭa Khya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,意义待考)." In the tantra called Vajra Door, it says: "Life wind, downward moving wind, wind dwelling with fire, upward moving wind, pervasive wind, moving wind, varying wind, correct moving wind, extremely moving wind, definite moving wind" This is spoken of in literal meaning. In the Vajra Garland and the Intentional Teaching, the first five are the same as before, and the last five are: "Dragon, turtle, owl, deity giving and bow victory." It is said that the last five are also interpreted as "victory over wealth." The two names of the five, although the terms "root wind and branch wind" are not explicitly mentioned in other scriptures, this was done by the eleven sound vowels. Then, are the one hundred and eight winds such as releasing wind and holding wind mentioned in the Vajra Garland included or not included in these ten winds? Some Tibetan scholars believe that each of the ten winds

It is also preached that there are ten different names and eight common names. In the commentary on the Vajra Garland, it is said that the pervader of each of the six wheels of emanation, dharma, fire, enjoyment, wind, and great bliss is non-action and pervades the whole body. Apart from that, the remaining nine run nine each. That is, fifty-four during the day and fifty-four at night, totaling one hundred and eight. Among them, the life-sustaining runs from the center of the six, and on the lotus of the four excluding the fire-wind wheel, eight each run from the downward sweeping to the definite running. The third petal of the fire wheel below the enjoyment wheel and the sixth lotus of the wind wheel between the eyebrows are said to be. The first of these is the three knots relying on the central channel, the two channels of the left and right breasts, and the three lotuses, totaling eight. The second is the six petals and the two channels of the left and right eyebrows, totaling eight, and the remaining eight winds run, it is said. In the separately translated tantras, it is said that there are fifty-four from midnight to noon, and fifty-four from noon to midnight, but this does not appear in the translation of the commentary. It seems that one hundred and eight are preached from the perspective of the nine winds running in the six wheels, so the first statement is inconsistent with the tantra. If each wheel has nine each of life, downward, etc., then when running in other wheels, the counting method of one hundred and eight still needs to be explained. If it does not run, then when running from the navel to the nostrils, it must also pass through the heart and throat, etc., so it is unreasonable. Also, starting from half an hour, the six wheels have nine freedoms, and at the end of half an hour, it does not seem reasonable to quote the scripture in this way in the commentary. In any case, these one hundred and eight winds do not fail to include the ten winds, which seems to be the meaning of the tantra, but the way of running nine each in the six wheels in order is difficult to determine, so further research is needed. Fourth, in three parts: explaining the meaning of the five root winds, explaining the meaning of the five branch winds, and explaining the common meaning of the two winds. First, where do the five winds reside, and which protector is which wind? The Vajra Garland Tantra says that the life wind resides in the heart.
