Just as one must learn to draw, in the second stage, it is necessary for everything that appears to appear as the aspect of great bliss. This is only possible after one has attained the co-emergent great bliss of the completion stage. Therefore, here it is said that through the door of physical isolation, one should view everything that appears as a manifestation of great bliss, in order for everything that appears to appear as bliss. For this, one must first establish the nature of all things as completely pure, and understand that all phenomena are in the aspect of emptiness. Then, through the method of uniting bliss and emptiness, one must meditate on the aspect of great bliss. If we explain these, in the Compendium of Conduct it says, "I am pure by nature." Thus, one should firmly generate oneself, and especially have faith in the great Vajradhara, the nature of the three vajras, which is said to be the yoga of blessing. As it is said that in the case of physical isolation of one kind, the yogi himself should generate a firm belief in knowing himself to be completely pure by nature, and meditate as Vajradhara. Not only oneself, but all the bodies in the isolated place, and not only in the case of one kind, but also in the case of hundreds of kinds and so on. Therefore, when all the phenomena of the isolated place are determined to be the nature of emptiness, completely pure by their own characteristics from the beginning, one should know that the emptiness without self-nature itself appears as those phenomena. This is the meaning of the phenomena being the aspect of emptiness. Although there are many different phenomena, since there is no difference in being empty of what is to be negated by truth, the emptinesses are also not many different, but of one taste. When such emptiness is made an object by co-emergent bliss, although the object and the subject are not yet merged like water poured into water, one should have faith in it and do it. At that time, by the key point of believing in the one taste of bliss and emptiness, just as it is the aspect of emptiness, it is also easy to establish it as the aspect of bliss by the power of belief. This is the correct reason for remembering the bliss and emptiness of equipoise and expanding it to everything that appears. Thus, if one is able to make all phenomena appear as the aspect of the one taste of bliss and emptiness at will, then the result is samsara and its cause, afflictions.
