Regarding the meaning of being incapable, it is shown concisely from the previous one. These two, apart from being merely the difference between the detailed and concise words of the tantra, both are root tantras, so the former is not the root tantra of the latter. The fundamental meaning of root tantra is: just as the trunk of a tree is called the root in relation to the branches, it is one that is established in relation to the limbs; just as the first owner is called the root owner, it is one that is established in relation to the later tantra in terms of time; just as it is said root and commentary, it is one that is established in relation to the explanatory tantra, there are three appearances. The first of these is like what is said in the Lamp Illuminating, that the root of all other tantra classes is gathered here, the way to become the root will be explained. This is both the root and the tantra, so it possesses the meaning of being called the root tantra, but it is not certain that all who possess it will use the name root tantra as a proper name. The second is like the seventeen chapters of the Compendium mentioned earlier, which are regarded as the root tantra in relation to the eighteen chapters of the Later Tantra mentioned later. In this way, the Condensed Compendium is the root tantra, and the Later Tantra of the root tantra of the Compendium, and the Later Tantra of the eighteen chapters, were spoken by Nāropā (梵文天城体:Nāropā,梵文罗马拟音:Nāropā,汉语字面意思:那若巴). The Sanskrit word for later is "upper" or "higher," meaning supreme. Both of the later ones can be translated, but some translate it as supreme, but the great translator translating it as the later of the later is better, because the commentary also explains it as the meaning of later. In relation to the Compendium, the Condensed Compendium being the root tantra seems to be the intention of the Condensed Practice as well. So, if the Condensed Compendium is established as the root tantra in relation to the Compendium, it is not enough just because it is earlier in time, so what is the reason for that? Although the Compendium is not a yoga tantra of the four tantra classes, generally, many say that it is a yoga tantra. Therefore, the Compendium and the Condensed Compendium both became one category of the yoga tantra class called yoga tantra, and among them, the tantra of the Condensed Compendium, in terms of method and wisdom, as the father aspect, as explained in the commentary on the One Hundred and Fifty Methods, is also the tantra of method, and it is also mentioned in the Lamp Illuminating of the sixteenth chapter.

Regarding such empowerments and other related topics, it is also said that they can be understood by gathering them from this very tantra. Considering it to be like the initial foundation, should it be explained in that way? Please examine. If explaining the meaning of the former is established as the latter tantra, then the first chapter of the Guhyasamāja briefly indicates the meaning of the tantra, and it is said that the remaining sixteen chapters explain it. Therefore, the first chapter is also the root tantra in relation to the sixteen chapters, and the sixteen chapters should also be established as the latter tantra in relation to the first chapter. Furthermore, there would be faults such as having to establish the earlier and later parts of each chapter in that way. If it is not established in that way, then please say from where the boundary of establishing the latter tantra begins. Generally, there are many ways to establish the latter tantra, but here I will explain the way to establish the latter tantra in the Guhyasamāja. Among them, this eighteenth chapter is both the tantra of the Guhyasamāja and was spoken later than the root tantra of the Guhyasamāja. It clearly elucidates all the common meanings of the seventeen chapters of the root tantra and the difficult and hidden meanings of each chapter, so it is called the latter Guhyasamāja. In this way, the later chapters of the root tantra will not have the fault of becoming the latter tantra of the earlier chapters. In the explanatory tantras of the Guhyasamāja, the noble father and sons directly spoke of five, namely, the Four Goddesses' Questions from the Five Stages, the Prophecy of Intent, and the Vajra Garland are said to be explanatory tantras. In the Compendium of Conduct, the Essence of Wisdom Vajra is also said to be an explanatory tantra. In the Lamp Illuminating, when explaining the first two letters of the introduction, the source of the question of the Lord of Gods is explicitly mentioned. Then, when explaining the rest of it, it is said to be from the explanatory tantra, which seems to be the former. Therefore, the question of the Lord of Gods is said to be an explanatory tantra, and this has not changed. Although the fathers and sons did not explicitly say that anything other than the eighteenth chapter was an explanatory tantra, it should be considered an explanatory tantra as Tagana and Gyalwa consider the explanation of the root tantra to be an explanatory tantra. Some people consider the Vajra Heart Ornament Tantra and the Illusion Net to be explanatory tantras, but these two are tantras that are consistent with the Guhyasamāja, not explanatory tantras. The Four Goddesses' Questions is all in its commentary.
