It is said that the seed is the most important. As it is said, since the Yoga Tantra, such as the Compendium of Principles, does not mainly show the reality of the completion stage, but mainly shows the reality of the generation stage, there is a contradiction. It is said that what the Black Practitioner discusses, starting with "Thus have I heard," etc., is the Father Tantra, and what he discusses, starting with "Supreme Secret Delight," etc., is the meaning of the Mother Tantra. However, that is not his view. Because he said that in the Yoga Tantra, "Thus have I heard," etc., are said, and in some Mother Tantras, "Supreme Secret Delight," etc., appear in place of that, and these two are said to be no different when making the union of bliss and emptiness the main practice, but he did not say that these two are the means of distinguishing the two Tantras. His quote has already been cited. Apart from these, there are many ways in which some Indians and Tibetans distinguish the two Tantras. However, in most cases, when distinguishing the Tantras as the Tantras of means and wisdom, there does not appear to be any difference in the meaning of male and female or means and wisdom. If it is said that means and wisdom are mainly shown, then for means and wisdom, there is no explanation of the difference between distinguishing here and mainly showing or not showing. Moreover, the methods of distinction that are explained only seem to be seen in the common aspects of the two Tantras, so it is easy to understand that they are unreasonable, so I have not written them. The second point is: Then, how should the two methods of distinguishing Father Tantra and Mother Tantra be done? For these two Tantras, although it is also acknowledged that there are some rough distinctions in terms of the generation stage, it is mainly necessary to make distinctions from the perspective of the completion stage. That is, in relation to the means and wisdom of bliss and emptiness, instead of considering means and wisdom as separate Tantras, they are considered as non-dual Tantras, as previously explained. In relation to this, it is not permissible to distinguish from the perspective of more or less. Because, like in the Mother Tantras such as Hevajra, the aspect of bliss is shown more, but it is not said so in the Compendium of Principles. Therefore, there would be the fault that Hevajra needs to be classified as the Father Tantra and the Compendium of Principles needs to be classified as the Mother Tantra. Therefore, from the perspective of the completion stage, the means and wisdom that are said to be separate Tantras, the wisdom is the wisdom of ultimate great bliss, and the means is the conventional illusory body. Among them, from the first perspective, classifying it as the Yoga Mother Tantra is from the thirteenth chapter of the Tent Tantra:

Venerable One, how can the name of the Yogini Tantra be skillfully established? Vajradhara said: The means of Prajñāpāramitā, This is called Yogini. Because of the great seal being well joined, Why enter into that nature, Therefore it is called the Yogini Tantra. Thus, the general scope of the Mother Tantra is made, and the reason for establishing it there is clearly stated. The meaning of that is: Because of the connection between what and that, for what reason, the ultimate truth of that very emptiness, by the union of the great seal, shows the way to enter into it, therefore, tents and so on are called Yogini Tantra. The reason why it becomes a Mother Tantra is the meaning of the two words "wisdom." If those meanings are explained in detail, such as the Bodhicitta of Kunda, the upward descent from the crown to the jewel, and the way the four joys of the downward stability return from the crown, and the bliss and emptiness of the great seal born together, the door of inseparable union, and the realization of the ultimate truth of that very nature, mainly showing the order of gradual progress from above, and not mainly showing the way to accomplish the illusory body of conventional truth from the five rays of the wind riding on the wisdom of great bliss, is called the Yogini Tantra. This is the means of accomplishing the Dharmakāya of innate Prajñāpāramitā, which is also the yoga of inseparable union of bliss and emptiness, and mainly because it is the cause of accomplishing the Dharmakāya, it is the part of emptiness and wisdom, so it is also called Mother. Establishing it as the Father Yoga Tantra through the second door, as it is said in the Ocean of Dakinis (Kha-'gro rgya-mtsho): For the yogis, the king of tantras, Know the difference between that and that ritual. I speak of the clear light illusion, Explaining the illusion to the world. Thus it is clearly stated. The meaning of that is, the explanation is also straightforward. Where, in the places of the kings of the Yoga Tantra, etc. What, in the illusory body. To whom, to the world, that is, to those to be tamed by it. By whom, by the teacher, myself. How, with the clear light possessing the first three emptinesses, that is, the way to accomplish the illusory body in the order of the four emptinesses. By what is it accomplished, by the difference between that and that ritual mentioned in the tantra, that is, the excellent difference.
