It seems that there are five treatises on explaining the completion stage that were composed by the noble one. Then, if it is said that the second stage was composed by Shakya Mitra, how should that be understood? Regarding this, a separate dedication is made at the end, and "Through the kindness of the noble Vajra, I have heard many tantras." It seems inappropriate to explain the meaning in other ways like this. If the entire second stage was composed by the noble one, then there should be a lot to say in the chapters on luminosity and union, but it seems that it is said here, which is also unreasonable. Therefore, it is not appropriate for this to be entirely composed by the noble one. Also, if this was entirely composed by Shakya, a disciple of the noble one, then it is also unreasonable that the completion stage was summarized into five stages by the noble one, etc. Moreover, it seems that the quote "From the unsurpassed intention of the noble Deva" has been cited twice, which is also not quite right. Therefore, I wonder if the noble one composed a part and then gave it to Shakya Mitra, asking him to write it? Those who are intelligent and meticulous should investigate this. If we acknowledge it in this way, then we should divide the one treatise called "Five Stages" into five chapters, including the upper part of the second stage. The second stage has two names, and the name "Unsurpassed Intention" should be the name given by the noble one. If we do not do it in this way, then we should not consider "Five Stages" as one treatise, because in short, it is a separate treatise, and the author of the second stage is also another person. Furthermore, according to that statement, the treatise "The Sequence of Vajra Recitation, i.e., the First" should also not be left as it is. In any case, the noble one took the essential points of the completion stage as the second stage and summarized it into five stages, which can be known from the Sequence of Vajra Recitation. That also seems to be the intention of the classification of stages. Furthermore, Tibetan scholars consider it false to say that the determination of the meaning of the four empowerments was done by the noble one. It is said that the sequence of the four mudras was composed by the noble one, which is prohibited by the "Ear of Whispered Instructions" and the "Commentary Boat." The guru Maitripa and his followers consider it to be the work of the noble one. Regarding the works composed by the noble Deva, the "Lamp Summarizing the Meaning of the Five Stages and Practice" is very famous. The sequence of self-blessing is cited by the master Avadhutipa. The purification of mental obscurations is said to be the teaching of mental solitude.

Although it is also a tantric treatise mainly explaining the nature of mind, it is not a special treatise on Guhyasamaja. Here, too, Abhyakaragupta is taken as the source. Regarding the statement that this teacher composed the "Order of Manifest Enlightenment," Tibetan scholars say that it is a basis for doubt, and it seems that there are great discrepancies with the Compendium of Practices, so it is a false claim. Also, regarding the explanation of the four modes of Ya, Ra, La, Va, etc., said to have been composed by this teacher, and the two rituals of cremation, Tibetan scholars consider them to be places for investigation. The former is an explanation of the two verses of the Lamp Illuminating, "As far as Ya, Ra, La, Ha," etc., and the Compendium of Practices is cited as the source, and the Diamond Peak, Diamond Garland, and Intention Exposition are all said to be root tantras. It seems that in the commentary on the Lamp Illuminating composed by the teacher Kuladhara, the explanation of the four modes of Ya, Ra, La, Va, etc., is listed separately. For the meaningless composed by Aryadeva, the latter also appears to be false. The second is composed by Nagarjuna or Nagabodhi, with the generation stage as the main focus, and also explaining the completion stage, the classification of stages is very famous. The mandala ritual of the twenty rituals is taken as the source by many panditas, such as Rahula Protector, Auspicious Friend, Abhyakaragupta, Compassionate Auspicious Foot, and Victorious Auspicious Good. In determining the four emptinesses, the Differentiation of Extremes is based on the Lamp Illuminating. In this translation, it is said in the summary that there are one hundred and sixty natures, but in the detailed explanation, eighty natures do not appear completely, and in the meaning comparison, it appears that there are fifty-four natures, which seems to be a mistake translated from an incorrect Tibetan text or an incorrect Chinese text. Because many things are falsely attributed to this teacher, there are three commentaries on the Five Stages said to have been composed by him: The Garland of Jewels, Meaningful Explanation, and Collection of Stages. The first of these is taken as a source by many Tibetan lamas, and later scholars consider The Garland of Jewels and Meaningful Explanation to be false. The first of these is that when explaining the meaning of the Compendium, there are many inconsistencies with the Holy Father and Son, and the treatise of Buddhajnanapada, a disciple of the teacher Simhabhadra, who cites the treatise of Chandrakirti as the source, is also cited by Chandrakirti as the source.
