Present and future scholars find many discrepancies between their practices and the twenty ritual manuals of Nāgārjuna, which were considered authoritative by many Indian scholars. Furthermore, there are inconsistencies with the teacher's own texts, leading them to view these practices as mere excuses, which I find reasonable. Regarding the teachings on the Completion Stage, the Vajra Recitation Sequence and others are very famous. In the second chapter of the Root Tantra, to explain the treatise on the Mind of Enlightenment spoken by Vairocana, he composed the Bodhicitta Commentary. There is also a commentary on this by Smriti, and many paṇḍitas such as Abhaya cite it as a source. These texts of the Five Stages, such as the Vajra Recitation Sequence, are also arranged in the Great Translator's version as five chapters of a single text called the Fifth Stage. The Second Stage is also said to have been composed by Śākya Mitra. Similarly, it appears in the commentary of Lakṣmī and the commentary Jewel Garland. Chag Lotsawa divided the texts into five different parts. Here, from this very text, there is the Self-Blessing Sequence Third, the Manifest Enlightenment Sequence Fourth, and at the end of Union, the dedication composed for the Fifth Stage, so it is certain that the Five Stages were composed by the Noble One himself. Among them, the commentaries of Abhaya and Samaya Vajra say that the Second Stage was composed by the Noble One's disciple, Śākya Mitra. According to their view, it is necessary to consider the concise sequence as one sequence and then consider it as the Five Stages. Thupa Pelzangpo also thinks the same way. The commentary of Lakṣmī says that the teacher's name for accomplishment is Nāgārjuna, and the name for ordination is Śākya Mitra, so the Second Stage is the teacher's own view composed by himself. Some say that the teacher himself composed the text, but included the name of his disciple Śākya Mitra because he was very pleased. These two views are explained. The commentary Jewel Garland says that one must choose whether it is according to the previous explanation or the later explanation. Among these, the other three stages have praise and vows to compose, but no dedication. At the end of the last stage, a common dedication is made. Because the concise sequence has a separate dedication, and in the concise explanation of the Vajra Recitation Sequence, it is consistent with the concise explanation of all five stages.
