Third, that which abides from the very beginning is taught to be understood as having the characteristic of self-nature recitation. The symbolic representation of the three inner mantras is that they are the three abodes of Suchness, and the Suchness of entering is the symbolic representation of the word "gyi," which is A (ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A). From this, the other two should also be understood. In that Tantra, it is also stated with the symbolic representations of "quick," "gathering," and "slow." Thus, when the mantra to be recited in Vajra recitation is collected, and three letters appear, the symbolic representation of the name is shown. It is understood as the letter of the tone of the wind, and those two are joined inseparably. In the "Prophecy of Intent," it says, "Even a single mantra without a mudra will not become a mantra person." This means that if there is no combination of both mantra and mudra, you will not achieve it. Since the hand mudra is not shown in this gathering, how can the mantra alone achieve it? In response to this question, it is said, "Possessing the three, such as quickness, is said to accomplish the mudra." This means that possessing the quickness of the wind rising outward, the gathering of entering inward, and the slow counting of abiding inward, is the accomplishment of the mudra, which is the binding. Quick, gathering, and slow are definitely joined as mantras. The teacher speaks with effort into the ear of the student. Thus, the combination of those three with the mantra of three letters is the combination of mantra and mudra. Therefore, it is said that the great mudra is accomplished. Therefore, it is indicated that the qualities of all mudra bindings are also included here. These answers are like being led into distinctions. Again, one asks, "How should one properly invoke and request to come here?" In response to this question, it is said, "Quickness and entering, as well as abiding, those that are successively joined, are for invoking and requesting to come. These also truly become mudras." It is said that the hand mudra binding is for invoking the deity, allowing them to abide in the place, and requesting them to come, which is for urging them to their respective activities. That need is accomplished by Vajra recitation. In this way, the three recitations of entering, etc., accomplish the need of invoking, requesting to abide, and urging to activity. Third, the meaning of mantra is generally diverse, but here, the meaning of the mantra of the three letters of Vajra recitation
