It should be done in accordance with the occasion. Those that become the basis of the three letters, it is said that Vajra recitation is performed, all ten have this. Those winds become the basis of A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A), it is said that all words are spoken, this also does not contradict the ten. Moreover, those who obtain imperishability and become without things, this is at the end of death, dissolving into the imperishability of the heart, entering into luminosity, and the path also acts in the same way. These, in the Compendium of Conduct, are said in the context of answering where the ten winds reside and what they do. Although it is said to be the function of the wind, the function is: the five roots reside in the parts of the body, doing the work of the body; the five branches reside in the eyes and so on, doing the work of the senses, this is shown by what is said. Moreover, this has already been explained in detail in the separation of the body, so it should be understood from that. Therefore, becoming exhaling and inhaling, etc., should be understood as being spoken from the perspective of one's own nature. In the Five Stages, it is said that "This is the vehicle of consciousness" (Tibetan: འདི་ནི་རྣམ་ཤེས་བཞོན་པ་སྟེ།), etc., consciousness has the vehicle of wind, meaning that the wind makes consciousness move. For this reason, it is said that all sentient beings are a moving world. If it is said that the reason for the physical body to move, etc., then it will not pervade all sentient beings. The physical body is like being shaken by the wind, but consciousness does not have it, so what is the meaning of it shaking? Like Lagmi and so on, the six consciousnesses completely grasping objects depends on the urging of the wind, otherwise it will not be able to see like a blind person. Therefore, just like a cripple and a blind person, if these two are connected, the work of the matter will be accomplished, they say this. In the Disclosure of Intentions, it says: "Walking, objects, etc., are done, here it depends on that." Walking, standing, etc., and the act of grasping objects, are all said to depend on the wind. Moreover, in the Compendium of Conduct, it is said that the five winds reside in the senses, doing the work of the five objects and the senses. Therefore, the act of consciousness grasping objects depends on the wind, this must be admitted. However, for this reason, the wind cannot be established as the vehicle of consciousness, just like the senses and objects. Furthermore, in the Compendium of Conduct,

I think that after entering the subtle realm, it gradually moves. It is said that for this reason, all natures are experienced day and night. The great Brahmin also said: 'This mind, gathered and blessed by the wind, shakes, flutters, and becomes extremely unruly.' Therefore, it is said that because the mind is blessed by the wind, the mind arises in an extremely unruly state. Although it is thought that all thoughts and non-thoughts of the mind fluttering on objects are caused by the wind, that alone is not enough to understand the meaning of wind as the mount of consciousness. So, how should it be understood? Since consciousness is not corporeal, it does not have the ability to independently go to and from objects. However, if it enters together with the wind, it has the ability to go to objects. In the Compendium of Conduct it is said: 'The three appearances are unrelated to coming and going.' So, how do they expand and contract on the body day and night? If someone asks, 'What makes it so active?' The answer is, after explaining that these three are formless, it is said: 'Even so, it still has appearance, so it moves together with the wind element.' This means that although the three consciousnesses are not corporeal, since they have the appearance of wind, they move back and forth like the wind, not staying in one place. Therefore, going to objects through the wind means that the mind rides on the wind and goes, which means that the mind can or cannot flutter towards objects. Furthermore, if the wind itself, which is one's own mount, moves from the previous position to the next position, even if no other movement of objects occurs, it cannot be said that there is no movement of objects. In the Compendium of Conduct it is said: 'The subtle realm, consciousness, and appearances, because they are formless, are completely mixed like butter poured into butter, thereby perfecting all worldly and transworldly activities.' Therefore, the wind and mind, which are mixed together like butter poured into butter, are best explained as the hand and fingers having the same essence. In the Compendium of Conduct it is said that the reason why the wind is said to be formless is that it is formless like the coarse realm, not that it lacks the five rays of the subtle realm. Just as it was said before that the external wind has no shape of limbs, etc., so it is said to be formless. Consciousness
