It is explained that this is eight. In the commentary of the Vajramala, it says that the pervading of each of the six wheels of the Emanation Wheel, Dharma Wheel, Fire Wheel, Enjoyment Wheel, Wind Wheel, and Great Bliss Wheel is non-action and pervades the entire body. Apart from these, the remaining nine nines run. That is, fifty-four during the day and fifty-four at night, totaling one hundred and eight. Among these, the life-sustaining force runs from the center of all six wheels, and on the lotuses of the four wheels except for the Fire-Wind Wheel, eight eights run from the downward-clearing to the inevitably running. It is said that the third petal of the Fire Wheel below the Enjoyment Wheel and the sixth lotus of the Wind Wheel between the eyebrows, the first of which has three knots relying on the central channel, two channels of the left and right breasts, and three lotuses, totaling eight. The second has six petals and two channels of the left and right eyebrows, totaling eight, and the remaining eight winds run, so it is explained. In the separately translated tantras, it is said that there are fifty-four from midnight to noon and fifty-four from noon to midnight, but this does not appear in the translation of the commentary. It seems that one hundred and eight is explained from the perspective of nine winds running in six wheels, so the first explanation does not agree with the tantra. If each wheel has nine nines running, such as life and downward-clearing, then when running in other wheels, the counting method of one hundred and eight must still be explained. If it does not run, then when running from the navel wheel to the nostrils, it must also pass through the heart and throat, etc., so it is unreasonable. Furthermore, starting from midnight, the six wheels have the nature of nine, and at the end of midnight, it does not seem reasonable to quote the text in the commentary in this way. In any case, it seems that these one hundred and eight winds are not not included in the ten winds, which seems to be the meaning of the tantra, but it is difficult to determine the way of running nine nines in sequence in the six wheels, so it still needs further research. The fourth has three aspects: explaining the meaning of the five root winds, explaining the meaning of the five branch winds, and explaining the common meaning of the two winds. The first is, where do the five winds reside, and which protector is which wind? The Vajramala Tantra says: The life wind resides in the heart, born from the Immovable One, a distinct family. The one residing in the navel

Ura Sel (Tibetan) is a special manifestation of the Jewel-born (Tibetan). It moves upwards and resides in secret. The nature of Amitabha (Tibetan) abides in the lotus of the navel chakra where equality is maintained. It is the nature of Amoghasiddhi (Tibetan). It pervades all limbs and is the essence of Vairochana (Tibetan). Thus it is said, and it is also said in the Compendium of Practices (Tibetan). This clarity of the nature of the wind possesses the nature of the five wisdoms. Saying it is the five wisdoms, it should be understood through the five families. Among them, the life-sustaining wind that moves from the nostrils is the coarse life-sustaining wind. The wind that abides in the heart is called the indestructible wind, which is the extremely subtle life-sustaining wind. As the Vajra Garland Tantra says: In the space of the heart's lotus, the wisdom vajra always dwells. (Tibetan) And it says: The great lord, the immovable Buddha, that is the world realm itself. (Tibetan) There is the place where it always dwells, named the life's wisdom. (Tibetan) Thus, the wind that always dwells in the heart until the end of life is said to be the life-sustaining wind. Therefore, the life-sustaining wind should be divided into coarse and subtle. In the Sutra Requested by the Four Goddesses, it also says: The supreme subtlety of half a measure, the mind's object in the form of a bindu. (Tibetan) Always abiding in the center of the heart, possessing a great blazing light. (Tibetan) As it is said, it is the indestructible wind blazing with five lights. The Vajra Mandala Ornament Tantra says: In the center of the heart, the indestructible, clear and like a lamp. (Tibetan) The unchanging, supremely subtle, A (藏文,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) is the supreme lord. As it is said, it also shows the indestructible wind. In general, the indestructible in the heart has red and white bodhicitta, as well as the ground luminosity, and subtle life-sustaining wind, etc. This is explained as the wind of luminosity in the commentary on the Vajra Garland. In the Accomplishment of Suchness, it says: When the other winds dissolve and the co-emergent wind abides in its own place, one realizes suchness, which also refers to this. Therefore, the Vajra Garland says that the order in which the winds first arise is the order in which they dissolve upwards at the time of death. When it first forms, it is said that the life-sustaining wind forms. Therefore, in the end, all the winds dissolve into the subtle life-sustaining wind, so in the Compendium of Practices it says that all the winds ultimately enter the indestructible, which also means dissolving into the indestructible wind in the heart.
