Where is it? That is its enjoyment observation. Joy and touch are the third, embraced by bliss is the fourth. Knowing and knowable arising and ceasing, in one's own mind, the fifth should be known. All Buddhas' reality is peaceful, it dwells exceedingly in all desires. Thus it is said. The five desires such as form and sound, in brief, are said to become one with the senses, which means both the senses and objects, gathered together in the realm of objects and the realm of having objects. The five Buddhas are the eyes and so on, their union is a true union, by uniting with the five Buddhas, therefore, forms and so on are also Buddhas. As it is said in the "Lamp Illuminating." The five Buddhas are the eyes and so on, their union is, it should have been like this, but the translation is not very good. The five, such as the eyes, are truly united with the five Buddhas from Vairochana to Akshobhya, therefore, the five, such as form and sound, are also united with the five families. Thus, the two, object and sense, are Buddhas, thus considering them as completely pure deities, that is meditation, in which there are five such as investigation. In explaining the general characteristics, at this time, the explanation of contemplating the object and sense as deities through meditation is only symbolic, and it should also be understood that contemplating the aggregates and so on as deities is like in the state of physical isolation. One should not only grasp the body of the deity, but also contemplate the very nature of the deity, which can be known from the occasion of detailed explanation. The five mentioned in the nectar secret are the five aggregates, and each of them has many internal differences, but it is not the intention to summarize them into five, doing the meaning of brevity. The three, sense, object, and sense consciousness, are the three secrets, these three sets of five are the nature of the five families, such differentiation is investigation. The three secrets are investigation, this saying is as good as it appears from the translation of substitution and incompleteness, because there is no meaning appearing in the commentary. The enjoyment of investigation is, abiding by observing in various ways in that very object is observation. As it is said in the nectar secret that practicing by separating extremely finely is observation, such as establishing investigation and observation from the perspective of separating finely or not, these two are also the physical isolation practiced in the subsequent attainment. Thus, first, in the stage of gradual withdrawal, the phenomena of object, sense, etc. are blissful.

One should learn to observe the aspect of emptiness. When it is stable, one should learn the meditation in which the aspect of bliss and emptiness appears as a deity. Here, the "Lamp Illuminating" says: Having examined in this way, when one is manifestly directed towards entering into suchness, whatever has the characteristic of mental ease is touching joy. When one has manifestly entered into suchness, whatever happiness is obtained that has the characteristic of extreme pliancy of the body, etc., is gathered by happiness. Thus, joy is mental ease, and happiness is extreme pliancy of the body, and the happiness of extreme pliancy of mind, which is gathered by "etc.," the former is obtained by being directed towards entering into suchness, and the latter is said to be obtained by entering into suchness. In the translation of Patsab, it says, "While examining in this way." And in the translation of Chak, it says, "After examining in this way." In the two old translations, the meaning of "after examining in this way" is that one summarizes the former meaning by examining as before with the two, investigation and analysis, and entering into suchness, one obtains the two, joy and happiness, which shows the way of obtaining the latter. Entering into suchness and being directed towards it are the same in meaning, and the way of obtaining joy and happiness in that way is: first, when great bliss is obtained due to meditating on the subtle aspects of the lower gate, one meditates by ascertaining the meaning of suchness, and thus one touches, that is, obtains, the special mental ease of realizing emptiness, and one obtains the bliss of body and mind extremely pliant by realizing emptiness. The actual physical pliancy is a special tactile sensation in which the body has become extremely workable, so here it is not that, but the bliss of pliancy that makes the body and mind extremely workable, which is a mental event corresponding to the previous mental ease. Having trained or become accustomed to what was said before, in order to reach the ultimate limit of what will be explained below, the cessation of the arising of the six consciousnesses, such as eye consciousness, and the six objects of knowledge, such as form, is emptiness because the apprehended and the apprehender of the mind appear as a distant distance. Therefore, the single-pointed mind that is the characteristic of wisdom is called one's own mind. Here, the Chak translation says, "The nature of all Buddhas is peaceful, all abide in the sky." And, "That kind of mind of a yogi is the...
