Yes. The reasons for the order of mind isolation, illusion, luminosity, and union should also be explained in the same way. To show anything other than that is not to see the essence. Furthermore, to say that mind isolation is shown in order to understand the meaning of the two, body and speech, merging into the mind is a fault of not carefully examining what kind of appearance mind isolation arises in. And the Compendium of Practice says that after knowing the true meaning of the mind as it is, one should engage in the practice of the illusory body. Therefore, in mind isolation, there is no point in later cutting off the doubt of clinging to the truth of the mind with the illusory body, because it is said that from the time of practicing the generation stage, one must also be well aware of the meaning of emptiness. The middle way says that by the power of controlling the winds through speech isolation, mind isolation is induced, and mind isolation is the basis for practicing the illusory body, and the two, illusory body and meditation, are put into luminosity, and luminosity must be manifested, and the reason why luminosity must precede the practice of one part of union is very good. However, the reason for the order of the first two isolations is the explanation of the meaning of the lute analogy. It seems that the similarity between the analogy and the meaning must be proven first, so that is not enough. The reason for determining the order of one's own system will be explained when determining the number. The third has two parts: the actual meaning and how other paths are included in this path. First, in the Compendium of Practice, after explaining how to learn the path in stages as before, it says that once union is attained, one no longer learns the stages of the path anew, and in the Five Stages it also says, "Having dwelt in the Samadhi of Union, one will not learn in any field again." Therefore, there is nothing that is not included in those stages of the path, and it is said that one must learn them. Since other paths that are not included therein are not needed, the greater number is eliminated, and since it is not possible without them, the smaller number is also eliminated. Therefore, it is necessary to accept the determination of number. Even so, the reason for the determination of number is not explicitly stated by the Two Tantras and the Father and Sons (Asanga and Vasubandhu). Lagmi says that the three isolations completely isolate, that is, purify, the three, body, speech, and mind, and luminosity makes the conventional and ultimate

The supreme truth is completely secluded, which is purification. By the union (Tibetan: ཟུང་འཇུག་), one attains Vajradhara, in whom the two truths of reality and convention are of one taste, and after that, there is nothing to be practiced, so there is no need for six stages. What was said before is enough to accomplish the desired purpose, so it is not four stages either, so it is determined to be five stages. Kalsang Drakpa said: The first three are the same as before. With the three doors purified, one blesses oneself for the sake of benefiting sentient beings. To that, one abandons manifest clinging with clear light. One abandons its extremes with union. After that, there is nothing to be practiced, so there are no six stages. If these two are missing, then the benefit of oneself and others cannot be accomplished, so it cannot be reduced either. The ancient scholars of Tibet considered that the number was fixed at six stages, based on the suppression of manifest obscurations and the destruction of seeds from the root. For example, for suppressing manifest afflictions and conceptual thoughts, three seclusions are established: body seclusion on the basis of calm abiding and bliss-emptiness; speech seclusion is the condition because the winds are gathered under control, so there is no arising of conceptual thought; mind seclusion is the entity. Bliss-emptiness arises in the continuum by relying on the mudra. By realizing the emptiness of objects with illusion, one abandons the seed of the conceptual thought of grasping, which clings to the self-nature of what is grasped; by realizing the emptiness of mind with clear light, one abandons the seed of the conceptual thought of grasping, which clings to the grasper as mind; by union, one abandons the seed of clinging to the two truths as different; because there is nothing more to be abandoned than these. The meanings of the first two are the same, only the wording is slightly different, and whether they are reasonable or not has already been analyzed. According to the third view, even if we refer to what is to be abandoned, we should say that these paths are enough. If we say that the path of suppression is the union of bliss and emptiness, although it is similar to focusing on emptiness as explained in the Prajnaparamita, it does not seem to be accepted because the methods of practicing calm abiding and special insight are different. Therefore, we cannot establish the paths of calm abiding and special insight separately. The latter three paths are also not necessarily the antidotes to the three conceptual thoughts respectively, so it is not considered good. Then, what should we refer to in order to determine the number? We should refer to the ultimate goal to be accomplished. To accomplish it, these are necessary, and these cannot be missing.
